I couldn’t get the Target in Brentwood to accept my coupon for the Travel Size Vaseline Aloe Lotion. However, I didn’t pursue it higher up from the cashier. Has anyone else had trouble? I may try tomorrow at the Kirkwood Target.
What do the regional coupons come out in? The paper? I don’t remember those. Was it a mailer?
I tried to buy the Olay Total Effects for 8.4 oz. at $3.54, they would not take my $4/1 Q because the price was under the Q price, then they would not accept the buy Olay and get Ivory for free up to $3, the reason was they were both mf Q. Can anyone tell me why this didn’t work for me but it works for everyone else? I used the Gulf Shores, AL store. The people there are not nice at all.
Jessica, the same thing happened to me yesterday. The cashier gave me such a hassle! Luckily, I carried Target’s coupon policy with me which states they are supposed to reduce teh coupon if its more than the product.
The big boss got involved and everything. He said he would reduce the cost of the coupon so that its $3.54 but he would not let me use teh “buy olay total effacts get teh ivory soap free” he says that was using 2 mf Q’s on one item. I didn’t argue further I just took my 2 free Olay Total Effects and left.
I tried to tell him that I’m buying the Olay Total Effects but just have a coupon for it. He said its one or the other because the $4.00 was for the Olay Total effects and the Get the ivory soap attached to the Olay Total Effects so its two MF’s Q for 1 item.
I was really embarrassed but was so glad I had Target’s coupon policy because the cashier was so nasty saying they don’t reduce coupons. I went right back to her and said “Here read YOUR stores corporate policy”. My poor husband was hiding.

I have no trouble in my Massachusetts Targets with coupons. Never had to show the coupon policy once, though I do carry with me. I have found that it is a good idea to go to a register with a young boy ringing up. They are really nice and easy going.

I just went to my Target (wesley chapel, fl) and tried to get the travel items with my coupons and they wouldnt accept them. i asked for a manager and she said NO. i brought out my copy of their policyand asked where it said they couldnt and she she wouldnt even look at it, she just said she knows their policy and wont take those coupons. she was very rude and then huffed and puffed thru the rest of my coupons and made me put all of my items back on the counter so she could verify every coupons to each item. then told me to have a nice day on a very sarcastic tone. i guess i have to make a call to corporate office about her attitude. im not so much upset about not getting the items as i am about the store managers attitude.

I just talked to a friend of mine who works at Publix and she said they have a lady (big into coupons) who got banned from that Target and now shops only at Publix. Im not sure why but we were talking about my problem with the coupons when she told me. Maybe she went off on the rude manager?? LOL what is sad, is that i have more coupons for some really good deals (from this site, thanks!!) and i am if-y about going back with them again because I dont want to go through that again. i think i will wait a day or two and then go back??

I just want to say how much I love this site and I usually love Target coupons or not, but I just have to rant about my experience today (to people that will understand!)
The cashier was fine. She took all my coupons. When I went to my car, I looked over the receipt and noticed something strange. I used John Freida $2.50/1 MQ x2 and $3/2 Target on a shampoo and conditioner. It should’ve come out to $1.98 for 2 products. On my receipt, it said ***special purchase $6.98 *** I haven’t seen this before, so I went back inside to customer service to see if someone could explain this to me, just to be sure I was not over-charged. I had to talk to 3 different people (2 were managers) who could not figure it out. I was probably there for an additional 20-30 min. The last manager was SO RUDE I could not believe it. She kept rolling her eyes at me and shushing me and cutting me off when I tried to explain where I was coming from. She took my receipt and went back to her “office” to figure it out. Why can’t she just do it in front of me??? She came back with an “explanation” and assured me I was charged correctly because she was “sure the computer did not make a mistake.” I was fed up at that point so I left and I’m STILL not sure whether or not I overpaid but I was about to flip out at the manager(s) due to their AWFUL attitudes! I’m thinking about calling corporate.

Had a bad experience trying to get the Johnson & Johnson Travel First Aid kit that is .97 with the .75 coupon. Register beeps and cashier wouldn’t override. He calls a supervisor and the supervisor goes into this long story about Target changing their coupon policy and they are not allowed to override any coupons because the manufacturer will not reimburse them for the coupons. I told him that wasn’t true and I was going to call corporate, he took two and used the override key. When I called, they told me their policy did not change and to take their policy with me and call them if I have any more trouble using coupons. I’ve been a Target shopper for over 15 years and have never had a coupon refused until tonight.

Lexi….as a target team member I think I ran across this the other day at the service desk. I couldn’t explain why it showes the way it does on the receipt but I rang the items only involved in the coupons and then the coupons…it said special purchase and the price, which I want to say was 6 something, but the total due was only like 2 dollars. I don’t know if this was the exact same situation but it sounds very simmilar. If it happens again have them ring the items then scan the coupons to see what the amount due was with out other items involved.
I would like to say this…..please understand that for every honest person that comes through our lanes and tries to save money by using coupons there is at least one person that comes through and tries to scam us. When we are questioning items don’t take it personaly we are only trying to protect ourselves and our jobs…..Not that anything excuses a rude team member but also realize how frustrateing it is for us…coupons double sometimes triple our work load. First we have to scan your item then the one or two coupons that come with it….think about your job and what it would be like if sometimes you only had to do things once but then someone came along and said you needed to do it three times. I assure you I am not defending cashiers that are rude that is just unacceptable….just try to think of it from both sides as well as when you hit your target store…..you will have much better luck if you go during slower times then if you hit them on a busy saturday afternoon.
