Hey all- just wanted to let you know that Melissa found that Baked Apple flavor was prompting the gift card as well at her store so it’s a good idea to check them at the scanner. If you find any other flavors out there working- let us know.
BTW- I hear that some stores have the signs up but the registers aren’t prompting the gift card- so this is another good reason to self price check. If your store has a sign- but you scan it and see that it is not bringing up the gift card deal- you can grab the sign and bring it to the CS desk and have them honor the deal.
I purchased the brown sugar and they also had cinnamon roll. Cinnamon Roll didn’t prompt for the card, but the supervisor offered to give me immediate $5 credit instead of the card. Thanks!!

I had the opposite problem today. The sign wasn’t there…..so I thought the deal didn’t apply to the express cups.
I bought the brown sugar express cups yesterday and it worked great. Got the $5 gift card. I went back today and bought the same exact brown sugar express cups and today it didn’t give me a gift card??? Customer Service gave me $5 off my order since the signage was still up but I found that very odd that it worked yesterday and not today.
I have a question. When you guys scan an item how can you tell whether it will be be prompting a GC? I scanned a couple Quaker products today and all it showed was the price. No mentioning of GCs. I ended up buying two different kinds and had no problem getting the cards, but I would like to check before I buy.
I scanned all three at my target: maple, apple, and cinnamon. Maple was the only one that prompted the gc on my scanner. The store did take $5 off my order since they didn’t have enough of the maple.
Mine was cinnamon. And it didn’t prompt for the GC. They took $5 off my order. When my friend went in the store, it didn’t promt the GC either. So I thought about taking off the shelf tag too!
This may sound like a crazy question but… are you able to use the gift on the same purchase you get it on?
no- they won’t allow you to use it on the same transaction that prompted it
Baked apple is what I bought in B’ham AL and it did NOT count for the deal.
Our store doesn’t have scanners that tell us the gift card deals.
I went today and purchased 5 of the Quakers express cupsl and the gift card did not come up – the cashier said she did give cards earlier in the week but today no such luck. She called manager and she looked in her ads and said it wasn’t in ads. I knew I got my info from your site, so I got back on tonight to prove to myself that I didn’t mess up. By the way, I told cashier to deduct the products, that I no longer wanted them. That was the reason I purchased them was to get the GC. My husband was with me and I think he got embarrassed that I did that – Oh Well – I was only trying to get us a good deal.
