Well I have quite a few things to tell you all about and there were several new price cuts. It usually takes me a few days to get through all my notes and post all the price cuts- but I will get them all up as soon as possible.  But for now here’s a report on my favorite cookies!

If you haven’t tried these yet- these are great! I found them on Price Cut today for $2 and there is a $1/1 printable coupon HERE that will make them $1. (These cookies are normally over $3).

UPDATE #2: Hope you guys were able to snag the TimTam Q while it lasted. They now have a new $1/1 Baked Naturals up there. There was a .60/1  & $1/2 Any Pepperidge Farm Cookies in 2-21-10 SS you can use too. Won’t be as good of a deal but these cookies are yummy! 

Make sure you bring your Target ad with you this week – just in case they are out of them at the store. (Most stores display the ad in the front, but just in case!) The ad has the $3.99 Scotch Fur Fighter price with a picture of the product. The $4/1 Scotch Fur Fighter Q is HERE, which will make it free according to the ad price- but some of you may have a hard time since it looks like this may be an error in the ad. 

When I first started doing the matchups I thought this was a crazy price and some of you may had noticed that I pulled the price out of the ad for a period of time until I could double & triple confirm it with Christie. It normally sells for $9.99 in my store- so I thought it was really odd. I am getting several e-mails saying that the sale price on the shelf is $7.99, but so far the stores seem to be honoring the ad price.

Keep in mind that ads include a disclaimer on the back cover that they are not responsible for typographical errors- so I guess it is possible for some stores to not honor the price, but hopefully they will.

UPDATE: Hey all- I just got back- I hunted around all over the place and did find the smaller version of the Scotch Fur Fighter but it rang up at $5.99. My store honored the ad price though and my coupon so I was happy. Hope you all had luck finding it and if there was a price difference your store honored it too.

I get so many e-mails from my readers that are jumping up and down over the great deals they scored using coupons. But I also get several from those of you who have troubles and walk out of the store feeling humiliated, confused and upset because the store did not honor your coupons. I wish I could answer each and every one, and I do try- but I thought I would do a post that may offer some advice.

STAY VERY CALM & COOL
Although these situations can be frustrating to the point that you want to pull your hair out and scream at the top of your lungs- this gets you absolutely nowhere. If you let the situation frustrate you- you are more likely to forget points you want to make so that a cashier or manager can better understand the coupons you are presenting. 

DEAL WITH MANAGEMENT
If the cashier is obviously not going to accept your coupons no matter what you say- ask for a manger and stop wasting your breath. You may very well get the same reaction- but you may as well deal with management. If you consistently have problems using your coupons- seek out a member of management at your store BEFORE you shop. Show them what you plan to do and the coupons you plan to use. You may as well see if they are going to have a problem with what you plan to do before you do it and maybe you can state your case calmer than you could with a line full of people behind you.

ONE COUPON PER PURCHASE
Know everything there is to know about what the wording on coupons means. When you understand it 100% you are more able to argue your points with conviction and confidence. Many of you who bought the body wash and razors together had trouble using the $2/1 on a razor along with the Free body wash coupons. Or were only able to use one coupon in a transaction and were told one per purchase means one per transaction. This is so not true.

If it had been me having these problems I would have asked them to show me on the Olay coupon where it said I won’t qualify if I use a coupon on the razor? At that point I am sure they probably would have played the ANNOYING “one coupon per purchase” card that so many of them fail to understand the meeaning of.

Personally I always make sure I have a printable Target coupon on me that carries the “one per transaction” wording on it and explain to them that there is a huge difference. Then I would hold up 1 item and say this is a “purchase” and then do a wave around all my items and say “these are my purchases!“. You should also take a look at the post HERE by The Krazy Coupon Lady in regards to the infamous “one per purchase” wording on Qs.

THE FINAL WORD
If you have tried everything and you still aren’t solving your couponing troubles with your store- it is time to take action. Call or write guest services and tell them the situation at the store. Have names, place, dates, times, etc for them. Be as detailed as possible. If corporate doesn’t know about a problem- how can they be given a chance to solve it? These are just a few of my thoughts and some advice I have.
