Welcome to the Thursday Bragging Spot! A place where you can show off your Target Shops and Clearance Finds. If you have a blog feel free to link up to your Target Shop below or even if you don’t- feel free to comment and let us know how you did this week. If you would like to let me know about a Price Cut or deal – please feel free to e-mail me with the info – I am always grateful to hear from readers & bloggers & happy to give credit with a link as well if I post.

So this week’s photo comes to you courtesy of Ai Mei, who is just 21, and even at that young age has a passion for saving money, and puts in all the effort required to do so and then some. She contributes a trip on the bragging spot every week, and even though the deals have been a little hard to come by lately, she still managed to save 82% on this week’s trip. To see the details of her transaction, see her post HERE. What is even more admirable is that she’s a college student, so while I definitely don’t remember being smart about money when I was in college, she has wisely given herself such a headstart in being smart about shopping. She is alo teaching her even younger sister how to do the same and I think that’s awesome.  -Thanks for contributing every week Ai Mei, Student Saving Bucks!

I went to target last night and bought 53.44 worth of stuff, $15 of which was cereal (before coupons). No other food purchased. However, I was taxed on 46.40–which means I was taxed on most of the cereal. I thought in FL we weren’t taxed on food???

  2. gery says:

there should be no tax on food, however I have noticed that they tax you on juices/drinks….I really dont understabd this!!

  3. gery says:

OK so i see alot of people having their cpns adjusted. I dont think this is right as I treat my cpns as CASH. So I am giving u $1 and u are crediting me $0.25….UMMM why…..!!??/

  4. Val says:

My Target has My Little Pony sets marked down to 5.44 (from 10.89). They are ones with one horse and either a bathtub, highchair or crib. I still had the Hasbro Play Saver coupon booklet that was in the paper quite a while ago. It has a B1G1 My Little Pony coupon in it. It expired 4/15 but it scanned with no problem for me this morning and took 5.44 off.
I also noticed a ton of Strawberry Shortcake Toys on clearance and there in a coupon in the booklet for those too.

So I tried to use the $5 C9 by Champion Q on a blue hoodie that was clearanced for $4.98. The register beeped and the cashier told me the hoodie was a C2 by Champion product not a C9. What?!? Is there such a thing as C2 by Champion line? I tried to argue with her but her computer told her the item was a C2. My boys were being pains so I didn’t push it further. Just told her didn’t want it then. Arrgh! When I got home I looked up C2 on Target.com and there is no such product line.

  6. Priyanka says:

Clean and Clear Morning Burst In Shower Facial – Clearance $3.87
    – $1 Target Q (Target Website)
    – $ 2 Clean and Clear MFQ (Clean and Clear Website)
    = .87!!!

  7. Traci says:

Joy! I almost bought that SAME blue hoodie today and was going to use that coupon!

Sorry that happened to you. I’m glad I didn’t bother since I figured they’d get hung up on the whole C(insert # here) issue.

Also, FYI, toy clearance is 30 percent in my area. I got several wooden Thomas the Train engines (Molly, Toby and Smudger) for my son for Christmas.

  8. Joy says:

I just read on slickdeals that a lot of stores are not accepting the C9 Champion Q on anything even regular priced stuff. Apparently, some guy tried to use 40 Qs and buy 40 shirts so Target pulled Q. Some stores even have signs not to accept it. Arrgh! :( Why do some people ruin it for everyone else?

I also have heard that some stores are adjusting Q done to $2.48.

I should have went and used it the first day it got posted. Knew it was too good to be true. Not sure if I will try again at another store.
