The Embark lunch boxes at Target might have a nice surprise inside.  Kristin let me know that inside some is an offer for a six month Parents Magazine subscription and a coupon booklet.  If you decide you don’t want the magazine subscription all you have to do is write “Refused” on the ad and return it along with your receipt and you will get a $4.96 check!  Priced between $3.99 and $12.99, (and she even spotted one for $3.79 on sale this week) these lunchboxes can actually be a small moneymaker if you choose not to receive the magazine.

They come in assorted designs and you should look for the hang tag on the side of the bag alerting you to the enclosed offers.  You can always doublecheck and take a look inside to make sure the one you find has the booklets and magazine offer card enclosed. There are a couple variations on the coupon booklets, but some nice ones like $1/1 Capri Sun, $1/1 Minute Rice, $1/1 Purell, $5/1 Leapster Game and more.

Thanks Kristin at Couponing to Disney!

The Capri Sun is a rare Q. :) Just hope people don’t steal the Qs out of these instead of actually buying the lunch boxes. :(

Thank you so much. I bought one of these last week but hadn’t looked closely at the parents card. This will be a mm for me since I got the lunch bag for $3.79…$1.17 mm for me :)

I was so excited to get the Capri Sun Q when picking up my son’s lunchbox! They are rare indeed – my daughter’s lunchbox had different Q’s in it.

I’ll be digging in the garbage for that Parents card. I didn’t even look at it before tossing it. Oops.

  4. It’s $3.99 here in Pensacola. But the more expensive and cuter bags ($9.99 or so) also have the coupons inside them.

I also found great q’s in a Spongebob soft-side lunch box I picked up for my dd. It was soft-sided bag w/ zipper running from side-to-side. Sort of made to look like a lunch sack w/ a handle across the top. Hard to explain… There was a $1/1 Capri Sun, $1/1 Minute Rice (any), and some other good ones but I can’t seem to find the booklet at the moment.

Do we take the receipt and ad back to target to get the money back or to the parent magz?

  7. Kerry says:

no you” have to fill out the Parents mag card that came with it. read the terms of the Parents mag offer on the card. I believe you just have to write refused and send it in and they will send you the refund.
