Christy and Sara both wrote to me about the clearance deals they were able to grab attheir Target Stores today. They both found lots of great stuff marked down to 75% Off. So I hope many of you out there have been able to grab some great deals, or a re-checking the toy department frequently for the bigger drop.
Different stores mark down different things on different days. Even though some follow similar schedules, one store may mark toys down on Wednesday, while another does it on Thursday. You can always ask at your store, so you know what days to look for which markdowns.
You can take a look at all their finds in their posts. Above is just part of what Christy was able to find and I am envious of all the Playmobil. Austin still enjoys it, but doesn’t play with it as much as he used to. I probably want to play with it more than he does.

There is a new coupon good for $1 off any one Sunbelt 8-ct. Product or Larger HERE. This coupon is a legitimate PDF and sent via e-mail with instructions to share with friends. Coupon is valid through August 31. The last time I checked, the Sunbelt Bars were priced at $2.04 at my store, which would make for a pretty good deal if you find the same and your store carries them (I’m not sure all areas do). Sometimes my store puts them in one of the racks off the side of one of the endcaps.

Hey all, just wanted to Thank You so much for all the kind words and well wishes for my Pops. I found out late this morning that they were not going to do the surgery until tomorrow, and when I was unable to talk to him right away, I decided it was a good time to weed and clean the yard and rake out all the old mulch. Even though it is crazy hot here, it still felt good to take out my frustrations on a rake for a couple hours.
I finally got to talk to my Dad this afternoon and we were on the phone for two hours, and I can say he sounds much better than he did last night- so it was a big relief for me. Last night he sounded so weak, and today, he sounds more like his feisty self, and I feel much better about him going into surgery now. I think he finally got rest and the antibiotics are helping. But surgery is definitely tomorrow, and I am anxious for it to be over.
I told him he made it onto the blog, and I could tell he was feeling better- ’cause he said “Oh Kerry, For Crying Out Loud!!! I’m going to be fine!” Big difference from the man I talked to last night. I’ll let you know how it goes when he’s out of surgery tomorrow. I hope it’s early. Thanks so much again for your support. It is much appreciated.
I am a little distracted today, okay, it’s been a couple days and today it’s worse. My father was admitted to the emergency room 2 days ago with Pneumonia. As a result, he has a pretty severe Pleural Effusion (sp?) (from what I understand- this is fluid in between his lungs and chest cavity). He has 4 large pockets of this fluid and was transported to another hospital yesterday, and should be having surgery today or tomorrow to remove it.
My Dad will be 74 this month, and has Crohn’s Disease, among other health problems. Yet has never let his health or his age monitor his activities. He is always busy working on something labor instensive, even though he is retired. He lives in the woods in Massachusetts, chops his own wood, plows snow, makes his own cement, shingles, etc. He volunteers in his community, is involved in a Gas Engine Club, has helped build his own house, and is always busy doing or building or fixing something. He does not know when to say when and realize something is not right and thiat it may be time to give himself a rest. My guess is he has been feeling poorly for a while and has probably had Pneumonia for some time, but refused to give in to it.
I can tell by his voice, and from what my Mom says, that he is very weak right now and in a lot of pain and I am nervous for him. Being over 1500 miles away does not help, and if I am not around as much, it is because I am busy climbing the walls. I will feel much better when it is over, and I hear word from my Mom, as he should feel some relief immediately once it is over. It’s all I can do not to hop on a plane, but according to my father- who I spoke to last night and sounds awful- that’s ridiculous of me since he’s not even sick. Uh… yeah, Okay Dad! Cross your fingers that all goes well…
