As 2010 comes to a close, I just want to say thank you. I have enjoyed spending part of each day with you all… my fellow couponers who understand the excitement of a good deal. Who enjoy saving their families money while possibly even helping others less fortunate in the process. And who think of coupons the same way I do- as little paper treasures, just as good as cash!

We can expect five inserts this weekend, two Red Plum, two Smart Source and although the preview does not show it, there will also be a General Mills. You can take a look at the preview HERE. There are coupons for AirWick, Colgate, Special K, L’Oreal, Lysol and many more.So far, to the best of my knwledge there are no Target Coupons in any of the inserts, but let me know if you find out differently when you get your papers!
Remember when viewing the insert preview that inserts vary from region to region, some areas may not get certain coupons or your denominations may vary – but you can check out what you may see in your paper on Sunday HERE.

P&G has a new mail in rebate for Prilosec. Just buy 2 Prilosec OTC 42 count packages in one transaction between December 26, 2010 and February 15, 2011 and get a $25 Master Card gift card. You will need to submit the rebate form HERE along with your register receipt and UPC symbols by March 1, 2011. There is a limit of one rebate per person or household. We often see Gift Card Deals on this products, so hopefully we will see a nice scenario at Target down the road.

So since my store is usually bringing up the rear when it comes to clearance, and we finally hit 75% off today- I am guessing that most of you are now 75% Off at your stores too. Mine just had soooo much stuff left, and I feel for you all whose Christmas leftovers were sparse.

Unfortunately, many of the coupons on the Christmas Clearance Prep list will expire today, but if there is anything to get added with this weekend’s inserts I will update as soon as I can. As far as dropping down to 90% now- it again will be different at each store. There is no one set date, and for example last year for me, I had to wait until the 5th for 90% Off. You can always call your store though before you head out if you have a long distance to travel.
I was happy to still see so much left, since the abundance of wrapping paper and gift bags and bows & other stuff affords me the time to wait for a 90% drop. but I did pick up a few goodies today.
And remember- not everything always gets moved to a clearance area. Many of the holiday wintery packaging on food and household items sometimes remains in the regular aisles. Here’s where the scanner becomes your best friend since much of it sometimes doesn’t even get marked down but will scan that way- so it’s worth a price check.
For example, certain varieties of the Pepperidge Farm Holiday cookies like the Almond Cookies and the Snowball Citrus are not marked at my store as clearance, but now ringing up .84 cents. A $1/1 makes them FREE! There’s no guarantees you will find the same- but you will never know unless you scan to check. Take a look at the Christmas Clearance Prep list which has a coupon matchup that I have tried to keep current to see what other “hidden” clearance goodies you may be able to find. Also please feel free to comment on this post and tell us what you have been finding so we know what other hidden goodies we should be looking for!
TOY CLEARANCE: The toys that have been sitting at 30% down each aisle, have all been migrated to their own aisle now at my store, and quite a few have now been bumped to 50%. Many of you should find the same, if you haven’t already, and if they haven’t been moved to a new home in a clearance aisle, scour the endcaps and each aisle for clearance. As far as a bigger drop goes- for everyone it is different, but keep a close eye- major clearance should happen in the first week of January and many toys should bump to 75% off for most of you by the 6th or 7th or even earlier.
