If you haven’t heard of the “I Like Book”, it is a terrific book where parents, grandparents, (or anyone who wants to let a child know how special they are) can write in what they “like” about their child each day. I bought one of these books for Austin and he just loves reading what I Like about him every day. There are also pages devoted to putting pictures, drawings, thoughts and other keepsakes too.
I think what makes this book so special is that it creates a keepsake a child & parent can treasure for years to come. I think reading what is liked about them every day can only help children build esteem and self confidence too! It’s also a great way to focus on & help promote the positive things, like good behavior, praise for accomplishing tasks, plain old sweet nothings and more.
