Here are a few FREE & Discount events going on this weekend. Many may seem to have consistent national participation- but it is always wise to call your local location to be sure they are participating…

BASS PRO SHOPS: Family Summer Camp starts this weekend! From June 9th thru July 15th, there will be lots of fun family activities including s’mores cookout, casting targets, shooting range, free crafts and more. Activities do vary by location so go HERE and click on “Select Your Store” to find a location near you. You will be led to that store’s direct web page with a complete schedule of activities. Many locations are offering camp workshops which give families a chance to learn about lots of different outdoor activities and earn a FREE lanyard and then a FREE pin for every workshop completed, while supplies last. Families can also get a FREE photo taken that they can download and share with friends and family.

Celebrate Father’s Day with their FREE Catch and Release Pond to be held on Saturdays and Sundays, June 9th & 10th and June 16th & 17th from 1-5 pm at participating locations. You can also pick up a FREE Field & Stream Summer Fun Guide available in stores only while supplies last. This 52-page guide features many different outdoor activities, ideas, tips and product checklists and more to help make the most out of your summer.

MICHAEL’S: Make-It Take-It Saturday, June 9th from 10 am – noon. Kids can make a Father’s Day Frame with purchase of frame. Then, on June 10th, there’s a FREE Make-It Take-It from 1 – 3 pm –kids can make their own keychain. Both events are for ages 3 & up, while supplies last. NOTE: If you belong to a playgroup or any children’s group, ages 4-12, here’s a great outing idea. Michael’s offers a FREE treasure hunt in their store to discover the six elements of art! Kids will explore each element while they create a personalized work of art. To book a trip, go HERE and follow the prompts.

Coming soon: Michael’s Passport to Imagination from June 19th – July 28th. Each week, kids are invited to join Michael’s on a worldwide voyage to learn about awesome animals and cool crafts. BARNES & NOBLE: Saturdays at 11 am. Children’s Weekly Storytime Event, all ages are welcome. Events can vary by store. Go HERE and enter your zip code to check your local B&N storytime event.

CHUCK E CHEESESign up for the Chuck E. Cheese’s e-club for exclusive coupon deals, get FREE tokens on your child’s birthday, kid’s activities and rewards! Just go HERE and enter your email address to get started on great ways to save on food & fun. Joining the e-club is completely free and only takes a few seconds. You can also go HERE to download FREE Rewards Calendars to help your kids earn FREE tokens for good behavior. For example, there’s a Daily Chores Calendar. Kids can record each day they complete their chores and then bring it in to get 10 free tokens. No more than 1 of any free token offer can be used per child, per day, only at participating locations. Food purchase is required, valid thru 12/31.

POTTERY BARN KIDS: Sat June 9th at 10 am – National Geographic Little Explorers Series. To celebrate World Oceans Day, kids ages 3 & up are invited to come learn all about dolphins, whales and other marine animals through hands-on activities, quizzes, songs and more. Kids will receive an explorer badge and a Dr. Seuss book while supplies last. Also, every Tuesday from 11am-11:30am, kids of all ages can attend Story Time, check out program details HERE. Time & Date for Story Hour may vary by store, call to confirm first.

SUMMER MOVIE FESTIVALS & OFFERS: Summer’s almost here and many of you will be looking for fun ways to cool off. Why not take in a movie? Many large theaters participate in FREE or very inexpensive Summer Film Festivals including Muvico, Regal Cinemas, United Artists and more. Movies are rated G or PG. LAKESHORE LEARNING CRAFT: Saturday, June 9th from 11 am – 3 pm – Kids can design and decorate their own notepad that looks like a real flip flop. You can go HERE for more information or to find a location.

REGAL CINEMASGet a Zap Pak for $2 valid thru 6/10 from Regal Cinema when you “Like” them on Facebook. Then enter your mobile phone number. SUMMER READING PROGRAMS: Summer is just around the corner- and there are several organizations and companies like Barnes & Noble, Pizza Hut, and more offering special incentives to help encourage children to keep reading over the summer. You can checkout my post HERE for more details.

LOWE’S BUILD & GROW: Saturday, June 9th or Sunday, June 10th – Kids will build a monkey powered plane straight from the Madagascar movies! Clinics can fill up fast so you may want to register early. Be sure and check out all the clinics Lowe’s has to offer and register for those too if you have interest. FREE Build & Grow Clinics give kids a chance to build a wooden project and receive a free apron, goggles, patch, and more! You will first need to sign up for a “MyLowe’s” account HERE before you can access Lowe’s Build and Grow. Once you have an account and password, go HERE and sign in to Lowe’s Build and Grow for all the details.

KIDS BOWL FREE: Check out the Kids Bowl Free program at participating bowling centers across the United States. Just go HERE to see if there is a center near you, and then register. If sign-up is not available at your center yet – you can choose to be notifiied when registration is open. Registered kids will get TWO free games of bowling EVERY DAY throughout the summer! Locations have different start dates, policies and age restrictions, so be sure to check out the details at the location where you sign up.

ANHEUSER-BUSCH PARKS FREE ADMISSION FOR MILITARY - Any active duty, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman is entitled to FREE Admission at participating parks including SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay or Williamsburg to name a few, as part of their “HERE’S TO THE HEROES” program. You can register HERE first or in the entrance plaza of participating parks and show a Department of Defense photo ID. As many as 3 direct dependents of military personnel also are entitled to FREE admission. For a complete list of parks and more information, go HERE.
