Here are a few FREE & Discount events going on this weekend. Many may seem to have consistent national participation- but it is always wise to call your local location to be sure they are participating…

TOYS R US: Saturday, June 16th from 2 – 4 pm – Kids are invited to come build their own Batman or Superman shield with LEGO bricks and take it home! Ages 5 & up while supplies last, valid on 6/16 only at participating locations. Go HERE to find a store near you.

CHUCK E CHEESESign up for the Chuck E. Cheese’s e-club for exclusive coupon deals, get FREE tokens on your child’s birthday, kid’s activities and rewards! Just go HERE and enter your email address to get started on great ways to save on food & fun. Joining the e-club is completely free and only takes a few seconds. You can also go HERE to download FREE Rewards Calendars to help your kids earn FREE tokens for good behavior. For example, there’s a Daily Chores Calendar. Kids can record each day they complete their chores and then bring it in to get 10 free tokens. No more than 1 of any free token offer can be used per child, per day, only at participating locations. Food purchase is required, valid thru 12/31.

BASS PRO SHOPS: June 9th thru July 15th – It’s Family Summer Camp Time! There will be lots of fun family activities including s’mores cookout, casting targets, shooting range, free crafts and more. Activities do vary by location so go HERE and click on “Select Your Store” to find a location near you. You will be led to that store’s direct web page with a complete schedule of activities. Many locations are offering camp workshops which give families a chance to learn about lots of different outdoor activities and earn a FREE lanyard and then a FREE pin for every workshop completed, while supplies last. Families can also get a FREE photo taken that they can download and share with friends and family.

Celebrate Father’s Day with their FREE Catch and Release Pond to be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 16th & 17th from 1-5 pm at participating locations. You can also pick up a FREE Field & Stream Summer Fun Guide available in stores only while supplies last. This 52-page guide features many different outdoor activities, ideas, tips and product checklists and more to help make the most out of your summer.

MICHAEL’S: Friday, June 15th from 6 – 8 pm – FREE Make-It Take-It Event. Kids can make a Duck Tape Wallet for Father’s Day. Then on Saturday, June 16th from 10 am – noon – Make-It Take-It with purchase of tie or T-shirt. Ages 3 & up while supplies last.

Michael’s Passport to Imagination begins this Tuesday, June 19th and will run thru July 28th, every Tuesday and Thursday. Each week, kids are invited to come on a worldwide voyage to learn about awesome animals and cool crafts. This Tuesday, kids can explore Australia and make an Australian Flag Pin and for the craft, a Stingray. Then on Thursday, June 21st, kids can explore Mexico and make a Gecko Lizard Pin and for the craft, a Monarch Butterfly. Go HERE for more details or pick up your own schedule at your local store.

BARNES & NOBLE: Saturdays at 11 am. Children’s Weekly Storytime Event, all ages are welcome. Events can vary by store. Go HERE and enter your zip code to check your local B&N storytime event.

POTTERY BARN KIDS: Saturday, June 16th at 3 pm & 4 pm – Father’s Day Craft in partnership with Kiwi Crate. Kids can make a “stained glass” picture frame, a nice gift for dad or grandpa. Cost: $10, you must reserve a spot in order to attend. Go HERE to find a participating location near you. SUMMER MOVIE FESTIVALS & OFFERS: Summer’s almost here and many of you will be looking for fun ways to cool off. Why not take in a movie? Many large theaters participate in FREE or very inexpensive Summer Film Festivals including Muvico, Regal Cinemas, United Artists and more. Movies are rated G or PG. LAKESHORE LEARNING CRAFT: Saturday, June 16th from 11 am – 3 pm – Kids can make a Key Keeper for Father’s Day. A great gift to help Dad never lose his keys again! You can go HERE for more information or to find a location.

DISNEY STORE: June 15th thru July 1st – BRAVE Adventure. There will be in-store activities to celebrate the upcoming release of BRAVE in theaters June 22nd. Times are as follows: Saturday, June 16th, 23rd, & 30th – 10:30 am – 12:30 pm; Sunday thru Friday, June 15th – July 1st – call your local store for event times. No lineups prior to 30 minutes before event and limited capacity. Minimum age for participation is 3 years. Go HERE and click on “Upcoming Events” for more information. KIDS BOWL FREE: Check out the Kids Bowl Free program at participating bowling centers across the United States. Just go HERE to see if there is a center near you, and then register. If sign-up is not available at your center yet – you can choose to be notifiied when registration is open. Registered kids will get TWO free games of bowling EVERY DAY throughout the summer! Locations have different start dates, policies and age restrictions, so be sure to check out the details at the location where you sign up.

LOWE’S BUILD & GROW: Saturday, June 23rd or Sunday, June 24th – Kids will get to build this Luxury Assault Vehicle from the Madagascar 3 movie. Saturday clinics begin at 10 am and Sundays start at 2 pm. Clinics can fill up fast so you may want to register early. Be sure and check out all the clinics Lowe’s has to offer and register for those too if you have interest. FREE Build & Grow Clinics give kids a chance to build a wooden project and receive a free apron, goggles, patch, and more! You will first need to sign up for a “MyLowe’s” account HERE before you can access Lowe’s Build and Grow. Once you have an account and password, go HERE and sign in to Lowe’s Build and Grow for all the details.

JOANN’S: Saturday, June 16th from 11 am – 12 noon – Kids can make a Darice Craft Foam Frame for Father’s Day. You can go HERE to see more information about this event.

ANHEUSER-BUSCH PARKS FREE ADMISSION FOR MILITARY – Any active duty, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman is entitled to FREE Admission at participating parks including SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay or Williamsburg to name a few, as part of their “HERE’S TO THE HEROES” program. You can register HERE first or in the entrance plaza of participating parks and show a Department of Defense photo ID. As many as 3 direct dependents of military personnel also are entitled to FREE admission. For a complete list of parks and more information, go HERE.

Target sponsors FREE and discount admissions to arts and cultural events & institutions nationwide. Many of these events are free and on a monthly schedule. Just choose your closest city to see what free or discounted events Target sponsors in your area and if anything is going on in your area this weekend.
