I bet most of you know where I have been all morning.
Yes- I did make it to Target this morning- and that empty aisle with a big range of % Off signs I posted about on Tuesday, was now full and all I saw were 50% Off & 70% Off signs. So I was very excited, but started to realize that the shelves were really not that full. Once I got done in the 70% Off aisle I started wandering into the regular toy aisles only to find that there was still a LOT of clearance on the regular shelves and very surprising- a lot of it had bumped to 70% Off. Several Polly Pocket items that had just sat there at 30% Off for weeks were now 70% Off, Moxie, Sprites, Liv and more all now 70% Off but in the regular aisles.
So I would definitely cruise the entire toy department if your 70% Off section looks slim to see what else you can find. And be sure and scan scan scan! Not everything gets stickered 70%, and it takes just a minute to go give an item a quick price check. It is getting harder to shop for Austin these days now that he is getting older and has clearer ideas of what he likes and doesn’t, but I did stock up on a few girl items for friends. I was also able to use my last $5/2 Polly Pocket coupon (no longer available) to get 2 small Polly Pocket sets for FREE as they were marked down to $1.78 each.
I felt that the sale at my store was very disorganized this year- but I know they got a late start for whatever reason. But I can’t complain- I was happy to get what I did and ended up spending $18.63 for $80 worth of toys after my $5/2 Polly Pocket coupon.
And I know not all of you will find the same thing I did- I stopped at my Little T on the way home and no consolidation in sight and only 50% Off in the regular aisles with just a few random items at 70%, so I am happy about what I was able to get this morning and will keep an eye on my Little T. As usual I got a very vague answer from Team members, so it’s up to me to watch. For those of you who found more toys marked to 70% Off today- let me know how you did in the comments!

153.00 of toys for 45.00!
Yep – mine just did the 70%. Zoobles, Hello Kitty, My Little Pony, Lite Sprite. I re-purchased a lot of toys that I picked up a couple of weeks ago at 50% off so I am just going to return those – I like to hedge my bets and the good thing because My Little Pony was pretty much gone today. So I have Christmas and birthday covered for my 4 year old daughter, maybe even too much stuff. My almost 8 year old twin boys are a little harder now – more electronic interests, Pokemon (never seen a sale). I am teaching them well, though, today one wanted to buy Pokemon cards with his own money and asked if I had any coupons
.
I spent about $140 on toys (mostly 70% off) and am stocked up for birthday parties for the next year. Plus I picked up a few items for my own kids for Christmas. Now I have to figure out where to store it!
I went yesterday and the toys were still at 30 and 50% off. I saw a particular toy that was marked 70% off and that’s when I starting scanning everything just to check, but to no avail they weren’t 70% off.
I plan on going tomorrow or Saturday to scope them out again to see if they have dropped further. I’m hoping to make some nice additions to my donation box!
Went to the closest Target yesterday – no luck. Went today to another Target about 30 min to the west – still no luck. Will try again tomorrow or Saturday at another Target 30 min to the east and hopefully I’ll get lucky!
My daughter went to our Target store this morning before 9:00am and the toys had not been marked 70% off. I was at our Target store until 11:30am and they still were not marking down toys. I told my daughter about one of the comments I had read here that said one Target store was marking down toys after lunch. She said she had read the same comment. Her husband was getting ready to go run some errands so she asked him to check and see if they had marked down the toys at Target and THEY HAD!!! He called her and she told him what toys to put in the cart and then she went to Target to take over the Target clearance shopping duties. When I talked to her she had found some Thomas and Friends items at 70% off, a Barbie computer at 70% off, a Tag book for free with coupon, Dinosaur Train toys, and more. I am glad that she had her husband check Target again tonight to see if our Target had marked down the toys this afternoon because she probably would have missed out on some great bargains had she not. This is the first time I can remember our Target not marking toys 70% off in the morning and not putting the clearance toys together on the same aisles.
My target had the fisher price kid tough see yourself camera on clearance for $20.49 and usually sales for around 69.00 everywhere else. I been wanting one of these for my granddaughter since it came out last christmas but I would not pay the price. This is a must have for preschoolers and it works great and she loves looking at the pictures she taken.
Had a good trip at my target. i am a first time mom of an almost 1 year old, so it took me until after noon to get there. picked up a cookie monster keyboard for $6, a block set for $5, and a set of my first paints for under $3. most toys were too grown up for my bebe and even her cousins, so i couldnt snag much.
I was spent $32 on $120 worth of toys for my nieces and nephews for birthdays and Christmas. The signs only said things were 30% and 50% off , but some were actually 70% off when you scanned them. Also, a lot of toys were in their regular place and not on the clearance isles. Look for clearance stickers and scan, scan, scan! You may be there a little bit, but it is worth it!
There was a lot at my store at 70% off, but I thought many were weird toys that I had never heard of, haha. They didn’t have an aisle for clearance. It was just scattered around but there were signs up with everything that was marked off. I don’t think shelf-clearers/resellers really go to my store as there always seems to be a lot when stuff is on sale. I went the other day when stuff was 30% & 50% off and there was still most of that at 70% off. There were quite a bit of things I thought about getting- singing cookie monster, lots of Lego but my son isn’t old enough & I don’t know if he’ll like them (they are still expensive on sale, $20 for Harry Potter/Pirates of the Caribbean/etc that used to be $50+), Duplo blocks, Thomas game, LOTS of stuff from the movie “Cars”, etc.
I ended up getting a hippo splash pool, talking birthday Tiana doll, electric Chuggington train set & 3 extra talking trains, butterfly habitat, 3 sets of DC Super friends Little People, chunky Percy (from Thomas) with a train car & cow, and a Disney Princess lip-gloss set. All at 70% off. My total spent was $58. The Chuggington stuff alone would have been $88 plus tax at full price. I might head over to another local Target tomorrow
I’ve been stalking Target toy section everytime I go and I just went ahead and bought the stuff at 30- 50% off because the next time I went back-which was yesterday- the rest of it was gone. I’ll go tomorrow to see if their at 70% but I wasn’t overly impressed with the selection so far.
One small endcap woth 70% off. Random clearance on the aisles. Unfortunrately, there were 5-6 employees and 5-6 shopping carts blocking everything — the employees were tearing down shelves and resetting. In fact many of the regular aisles had empty shelves!?! I did ask about the markdowns, but the employee claimed she didn’t know anything. I did find two American Girll-like books, with small dolls and a charm bracelet for $4.04. Great for my two nieces! I did get “Brain Bender” wooden puzzles (I think there were four in the box) for $4.98 — great for my 12 yo nephew. I usually give him cash, but like to get something small for him to open. Twelve is a weird gift-giving age. I also found a small Lego box with a firefighter. It was marked $6.06. Didn’t really want to pay that much, but I am a firefighter and am always on the lookout for firefighter toys for my grandson. I didn’t bother checking the price, just threw it in my cart. At check out it rang up at $3. So, bonus for me. Other than that — BIG ZERO. I was there at 8:30 am and there was one other shopper. We both commented on the small selection this year. I feel fortunate that I have been able to stock up on toys earlier in the year matching coupons with sales (Hasbro games, Hot Wheels, Polly Pockets). Oh well, see ya shopping around the perimeter! Thanks for keeping us posted on all of the deals!! I certainly appreciate it.
i got a play wonder layla doll for 10.50 which is 34.99 originally. guess its a good price
Great selection of 70% off toys at our Targets in Pensacola. One Target i spent $230 for toys… Would have been about $800 normal price. Since we have 4 Targets in a 20 mile radius, I hit one more yesterday. I spent $85 for toys…would have been about $300 normal price. I got each of my 5 kids the majority of their Christmas presents. Just 1 big present for each and I’ll be done. That’s $315 for most of Christmas… When I spent $1500 last year for their Christmas. I say that’s a big savings! Some things I bought … Nerf guns for $4.98, bullets for 3.00, Spy Net Recording Pen for 8.42, paper jams guitar for 7.48, Air Hogs for 10.48, Leap Frog Learn and Groove Musical Table for 15.59, Jungle Junction Roadway Playset for 13.19, Littlest Pet Shop for 9.44, coloring activity sets for 1.48, Liv dolls for 3.28, Liv hair wigs for 1.78, Cars 2 Action Agents for 2.08, Bizu bead sets for 1.48, Cars Lights and Sounds for 2.66, Dora Princess shoes Dress up for 1.81, mermaid dress up for 3.98, 4 pack of Eric Carle puzzles 4.48, Fisher Price Smart Tablet for 7.46, Liv doll outfits for 2.98, Stardoll barbies for 4.48, Spy Net Bionic Ear for 5.98, Air Hogs Cars 2 racer for 7.48, Avengers mini muggy for 1.78, Dagedar Power launcher for 2.98, Bakugan 3 set 5.48, and many more in the car I haven’t gotten out yet. I hope all of you have as much luck as I did.
My daughter has the receipts so I can not itemize. But before any discounts it was $214.44. After mark downs, my daughters employee discount, and using the free Target give cards we had – we paid $0 out of pocket. My grandson is 7 months old, so almost all of it was for his Christmas and Birthday
I found musical recorders, harmonicas, Buzz Lightyear toys, and Zhu Zhu pets all at 70% off. These will make great cheap birthday/Christmas presents for my daycare kids…and they’ll be nice and noisy for the parents.
My car battery was dead Thursday morning – ha, of all days! Don’t know what I missed out on but I was happy to get 2 Tag Reader sets of books for $.12 each after Target coupon. One didn’t have a clearance sticker on it but it scanned at 70% off! When in doubt, scan!
FYI – the Moon Dough stuff is all 70% at the Target I went to. Made the “Mini Kits” only $0.56 each! Great stocking stuffers…also the bigger kits were only $2.38 and $2.84 (different kinds). Don’t forget to use your “$5 Gift card with a $50 purchase” coupon that came on the back of the College Savings mailer!
I went to my Target and my toys were all in a complete mess, the clearance was all over the place, so I just started picking up toys and scanning to see if any ones I wanted were on clearance. I found Lego Duplo My First Build, the sticker said on clearance for $20.92 but when I scanned it, it was only $8.96!! I was so excited to find a Lego thing so cheap for my baby, my husband loves Legos and I know he’s going to want our son to have lots.
I have two stores I’m watching. Today one started very few items at 30% off. The other store has the items scattered in the toy section but very little in the way of %70 off.
Does anyone know if Target will mark toys down over the weekend?
Went yesterday afternoon and scored a lot of good toys that were marked 70% off (Texa-Arklatex Area), but I was shopping fast since my mother-in-law was watching my kids. I could have spent a long time getting Christmas and Birthday gifts to put away for my 4 children. When my hubby got off work I went back to look at anything I may have missed and was able to put a few more away in the stockpile. I was a bit frustrated that no baby toys were on clearance at my store, I have read that many of you have found baby stuff marked down. I will keep my eyes on it in the days and weeks to come though.
Went to 2 stores yesterday, and was able to score all Birthday and Christmas present for my son and niece. Also picked up Christmas presents for my little one due in august and a niece due two weeks before my little one. I just have to pick up a couple outfits and I’ll have EVERYTHING covered for them. Yay! I spent $160 on $550 worth of toys. Got my son the kid tough camera, and doodle pro, along with many cars and playdoh items and a couple chuggington train sets. My niece gets a vtech text and go(with an outfit), and a tiana doll with a playard.
Lots more was bought, but those are the highlights.
Three ladies worked as a team in my Target while I was there, clearing out all of the clearance toys….6 carts full!! A lot of duplicates too, I was wondering what they needed 4 of everything for. I was just getting one item and one of the ladies was right behind me scooping up the rest of the same item I had just picked…good thing I got what I wanted before she cleared the shelf!
Very lucky this year! Scored $750 worth of toys for only $230 after 70% discount, and a gift card. Couldn’t be happier! Got everything I could stuff into 2 carts, it was crazy. Had a little of everything: Zoobles, My Little Pony, Barbie (Paul Frank edition), Hello Kitty, Trio Joker set, Harry Potter Lego game, sock monkeys, baby toys, Cars micro remote control, Mario & Wario micro remote control, Marvel figures, DC figures, GI Joe figures, Kre-O Transformers sets, Need for Speed sets, and a slew of Crayola sets and board games. Stocked up for this year on birthday parties! Will probably also donate a bunch of these toys to church for the kids around Xmas time. Great day.
I went today and all the signs still said 30% off but most stuff was 50-75%. Didn’t find anything earth shattering as I only have girls to buy for and most things were for boys. I did get Squinkie rings and Doodle Bear markers but just was not impressed with selection.
Went to two targets yesterday and total got $646.37 worth of toys and only paid $153.98 no coupons even used!!! This is by far the best I’ve ever seen the toy clearance although I’ve only been doing it for like 2 years but all my Xmas n bday shopping is done. I pretty much bought mostly Disney car stuff since that’s all my son likes and some chuggington stuff with a few dolls n games for my nieces
Went to Target today and while there is hardly anything left in clearance I also noticed they are resetting toys at this store and possibly making it SMALLER. My daughter and I noticed they had no Bratz, Liv, Moxie, Polly Pocket, Monster High, etc. AT ALL. Wonder what the plan is….
