Another change in the new version is that you sometimes have to “unlock” the kicks before going to the store. I had to scroll through the Target books on the app in order to get the 100 or 125 kicks at walk in. They are giving more points for walk-ins and scans, but the cost of gift cards also went up a lot. I was incredibly surprised on Black Friday when I got 5000 kicks for walking into Target. Yeah, 5000.

Marie & Michelle – It looks like favorites has been replaced. Now, when you open the Shopkick app, you can touch and drag upward where it says “Find kicks waiting nearby”. Even if you are at home, it will pull up the stores closest to you. Find your favorite and click on it to bring up the store.

You can also click on the little compass icon in the bottom left corner and it will bring up any nearby malls. Select your favorite to see what stores have kicks to collect.

There is a lot to explore on the new version so you may find it helpful to check out the FAQs page. Just click on the figure icon at top left, then click on the settings icon at top right. Now scroll down to “FAQs & Rules” and select it. This will bring up all the sections of this new version and list common asked questions with answers.

I plan on putting together a more thorough How-To post soon that will go into greater detail about this new version.

What kind of phone do you have? I have Samsung Galaxy III and to do my favorites I have to “pull” it down to the image that look like a zipper with no teeth or a pocket (whichever it may look to you) and there is a heart on the end of it.

I just started using Shopkickfor about four weeks and have already made enough for 20 in Target giftcards, could have made more bu would forget to walk in certain stores and some reason the app can never locate me in Best Buy! But other than that I LOVE IT!

Hi Marie – I haven’t been able to figure that out myself. I like the new version, but the previous one had some nice features too, like the favorite stores, and the way to scroll through them.

I’ve only been using shopkick for about 3 months, but I like it! My problem is I don’t go to the mall too often, so my main stores are Target and Best Buy. Guess I need to try mall walking once a week

If you haven’t tried it, you can get 50 bonus kicks to start you off and see how you like it.

Now that Shopkick has changed the appearance of their mobile app, I have not found a way to mark my favorites as I did before the changes. Is there still a way to indicate one’s favorite stores? Thank you!
