Has anyone had any trouble with this deal? I bought 4 of the Oatmeal Delights and didn’t realize until I got home that I didn’t get one free. The manufacturer coupons came off of three of them, and the 4th one just rang up as $1.99. There were signs displayed. I guess that’s why it always makes sense to check my receipt before I leave, but today I was a bit pressed for time. I guess I’ll take the receipt to guest services the next time I’m in the store and ask for a refund for the one that should have been free.

I also had an issue with the Pop Tarts deal. I didn’t buy the Oatmeal Delights, but I did buy 4 qualifying Pop Tarts varieties and the register did not automatically give me the 4th for free. For some reason, one of the boxes rang up as “PASTRY” while the others rang up as “KELOG POPTRT” or “KELLOGG PTRT”. So maybe that was part of the issue. Unfortunately, while I noticed that and got it corrected before I left the store, I didn’t realize until I got home that they hand only scanned 2 of my 3 coupons.

Thanks to Judy’s post, I watched the register today when I bought 2 Oatmeal Delights and 2 regular boxes (Olathe, KS.) Nothing came off as free, so I asked the cashier about it. She pointed out that only the regular boxes had the down arrows on the screen, which meant they were the only ones eligible for the sale. I went back to the aisle and took a picture of the signage on both flavors of Oatmeal Delights that showed they were included. I had to zoom in on the verbiage so she could read “select flavors.” She pushed through the $1.99 deduction, but did grumble that they would ask her why she did it. I asked about it at Guest Services and all she did was scan one of the Oatmeal boxes and said “they’re not included,” so I asked them to fix the signs!

This deal didn’t work for me last night. I tried the oatmeal delights but the 4th one didn’t ring up free. :(
