PassbookIf you have an iPhone and use Target Mobile coupons, then here’s an easy way to keep them all together and easily accessible. It’s a nifty little app called Passbook and as long as you’ve got iOS 6 or higher on your iPhone, you’ve got Passbook. You will have to update your operating system to make use of this app if you do not have iOS 6.

You will also need to have the Target App on your iPhone. You can text “APP” to 827438 (TARGET) to receive a download link or go HERE. If you are new to Target Mobile Coupons all together, you can learn more about them & how to sign up on my post HERE. Once you have the Target App downloaded, you’ll have access to Passbook directly thru the Target App. Here’s how to get started….

passbook-appFirst, click on the link in your latest mobile coupons offer. (You can check under the mobile coupon section of my Target Coupon Page to see all the mobile coupons available right now). When you can see the coupons, scroll down to the bottom to where you see the red bar, ‘add to passbook’. Tap on the bar and your Target App will open automatically. Then select Add in the top right corner, and you’re done!

Now, when you’re ready to redeem your mobile coupon(s), just open your Target App, go to the main menu (click on icon in top left corner) and select ‘Mobile Coupons’. Then present the barcode to the cashier after all items have been scanned. Any offers you did not redeem, will be available on future visits. To see which coupons you have used, you will need to refresh first, then scroll thru the list in your passbook, and you’ll notice that the ones you have used are blocked in gray and say ‘Redeemed’.

To see ALL your mobile coupons in passbook, open the Target App on your device, go to the main menu and select ‘Deals & Coupons’, then ‘Mobile Coupons’. Each batch of coupons is stored here. Scroll down to see each individual list of coupons or left to right, to see each batch. Notice the subtitle above the expiration date – this tells you the name of each group of coupons.

You will need to update your passbook manually, it does not automatically remove or update old or expired passes. Just go back to the main menu, select ‘Deals & Coupons’, and then ‘Balance Passbook’. This screen will show you any expired passes you should delete, any new coupon passes to add, and how many current passes you have. For additional information and support on mobile coupons, you can go to Target’s support page HERE.

Once you set up your passbook, it will be easy to track all your mobile coupons and use them before their expiration date – a pretty cool timesaver in my book!

Thanks so much for posting this!!! i was a mess yesterday trying to use three different texts with offers in the same transaction!!! i always wondered what that passport was. hopefully this helps me now. :)
BTW, my target has a huge clearance in toddler/kids shoes for 70% off…for some reason i got almost 10 pairs…its a problem when you have a cute little girl with cute little feet.

  2. Jess says:

Any idea if you will be able to do the same on an Android any time soon?

  3. Kerry says:

Hey Jess- I am trying to find something comparable for the Droid- I haven’t given up- if anyone has one to check out plmk!

  4. Rachel says:

The Target computers at the register wouldn’t recognize my second coupon barcode. It said “none available.” The cashier said maybe I can only use one set of coupons at a time. Anyone have a similar experience? I usually never have coupon problems at my Target!

  5. Stephanie L. says:

I have passbook but never used it… Till now. Thanks

  6. Jana says:

I got it to work on my android too! You go to the main menu on the Target app, deals & coupons, & mobile coupons the same way. I had to put in my name, e-mail, phone number, etc. And now they are all there.

  7. Andrew says:

Once I re-signed up for the Target mobile coupons (through the Target app), all of the Target mobile coupons displayed in the Target app. I never once had to add anything to Passbook.

  8. Anne Klein says:

I can’t get my mobile coupons to open in Passbook. I used some of them yesterday and now it won’t open for me to look at the remaining coupons. Suggestions?

  9. Rachel says:

Three of the offers are displayed in the Target app. But one is in Passbook that isn’t showing up in Target’s app. I’ve added it to passbook, but it won’t update in Target’s. Any ideas of why or how to fix it?

  10. Kelley says:

Anne– I think they will also show up in the Target app and you don’t even have to worry about passbook. I don’t think it matters whether you used some or not. I made the switch from passbook back to the Target app when I read that they are showing up there. Its much easier and you don’t have to do anything. Just follow Jana’s instructions above if you’re not sure where they are on the Target app. Or maybe try texting offers to get them to show up again….? Good luck. HTH

  11. Kelley says:

Rachel– I’m not sure why its doing that. Did you try texting offers again? to maybe reset it? Sometimes if you close an app on your phone and reopen it, that also helps to reset. I close my apps frequently anyway just to extend battery time. The good news is you’ll have new coupons this Sat to start fresh with the Target app. Good luck! HTH
