Hurry and grab a new high-value coupon while it lasts for $3/1 Axe Gift Pack (mine printed with an expiration date of 11/28). You can print this coupon twice- plus we still have our $2/2 Axe items ETS Target Coupon x12/7 to get a total of $8.00 Off two and they sell for $9.99 each, so $5.99 each after stack wyb 2.

Target is supposed to be running a promotion right now for a FREE $5 Gift Card wyb 2. The offer appeared as a full-page advertisement inside the 11-17 Red Plum insert for some of you -as shown to the right-  however, as of yesterday I still hear these gift sets are not automatically prompting for the gift card. 🙁

So unfortunately you will have to have and bring in the original Red Plum advertisement if you have it and even then it will be a ymmv whether or not your store decides to honor the deal.

But if your store does honor the RedPlum advertisement, or you can find signage,  it makes these gift sets just $3.49 each wyb 2 after coupons & gift card which is a great deal since they contain 3 full-size products and a sample Face Wash.

I just tried this deal an hour ago and the gift cards were not prompting. I would have brought the ad in with me, but I had all ready cut the coupons off the back and all of the wording. I’ll have to see if I can get another copy or if it is in the Target ad next week.

  3. Kerry says:

Hey MIndy- unfortunately it’s not in next week’s ad 🙁 so you will need to see if you can get your hands on another redplum-
@Laura- sorry you are having trouble- the coupon page is loading for me
    maybe try a different browser

  4. Christine Hamilton says:

Kerry, where’s next weeks ad? Do you have it?

  5. Kerry says:

working on it now folks- takes a while to type and match- it will be posted on the blog tomorrow as usual 🙂

  6. Erica H says:

Printed coupons worked. Was able to print 2. Target’s worked as well. Also have the ad from Redplum. Customer service will probably have to prompt the gift card. Anyone else try this yet with any success?

It’s a potential hassle for a breakdown that’s still more than $1 per full size product. Most of these items I like to get free or make money on. The body spray was a recent MM at Target.

And yet, that price for a nicely packaged gift set is so hard to pass up. I wish they were sets for women, this would be a no brainer teacher gift!

  8. Tricia says:

Erica, I did this deal yesterday at my Target. I didn’t have the flyer about the $5 gift card, but saw the staff questioning it for another shopper. So I asked about it and they honored it for both of us.

  9. Roxanna says:

I used the 2 manu coupons with the 1 target coupon for 2 axe gift sets an hour ago.It did not prompt a gift card at the register..I showed them my 11/17 RP ad..there was NO signage up in my san diego store. The csm would not give me the $5 GC but DID give me another $5 off!! I ended up with 2 gift sets for $7.77 using my redcard 🙂

  10. Daisy says:

Through the 23rd this coupon makes these sets $2.99 after UPR at Rite Aid. I love me some Target but the lower price wins.

  11. Erin D. says:

To Mindy: Copy & Paste the photo above into MS Word. Hit Print. Take it with you to store. Customer Service can call corporate office to confirm the deal if they don’t believe you. Insist that they do so. Good luck.

  12. robin roberts says:

if you don’t have the whole red plum for showing the deal.. look for a target coupon for $1.50 off 2 ponds skin care items that was on the back of the page.. there is enough info on that to see whats included and when the end date is for the gift card……

  13. Mindy says:

Thanks guys. I’ll try the deal later 🙂

  14. melanie micheels says:

the cashier at my Target just credited me $5. off the purchase, but I did have to have the ad with me.

  15. Jen Barker says:

Robin Roberts..Thank you so much for posting that! You saved me so much time!

  16. Ellie says:

I went today and the gift card did not prompt – but they gave me the gift card with a copy of the add. They told me that the gift card special began tommorow.

  17. Janet says:

Is everybody’s Axe coupon printing with an exp of 11/28?

  18. Monica says:

@ Janet- Yes, I printed two of them earlier.

  19. Julie says:

I went to Target yesterday and tried to do this deal but they told me on bottom of ad the small print says only in certain locations or something. They said thier store was not one participating and would not honor it.

  20. Monica says:

@ Julie- My target wasn’t partipating either. The transaction did not prompt the $5 gift card. However, I showed the manager (the gift card ad) and she gave me 2 ($3 Target coupons) instead. BUT the Target coupon $2 off any two Axes products was rejected. =(

It beeped, so she said she couldn’t accept it. Since the description didn’t read (gift sets) it wouldn’t go through. So she rang them up again, this time separately.

She pointed out that the coupon said, one item per purchase. So she wouldn’t sell me two gift sets and use two $3 coupons. Such a hassle with TARGET!

  21. Chrissy says:

The only mention of Target not participating is this ” Target is not a participating partner in or sponsor of this offer. There is no mention of participating stores but makes me wonder about how you are suppose to get gift card if they are a participating partner in or sponsor of the offer.

  22. Jonathan says:

I couldn’t find the ad in my RP. Maybe it is regional.

  23. Chrissy says:

I printed 2 more today from hubby’s computer and they expire 11/29. Guess it depends on when you print when they expire.

  24. Rebekah says:

My store wouldn’t honor the deal even though they are the only Target in my town and it was advertised in the local paper. They said that since the ad says “See in-store for details,” they were choosing not to participate. That hardly seems fair to me as it it says nowhere in the ad “valid at participating locations only.” I use these deals to be able to afford to send toiletries, snacks and other items to my husband and the other members of his command overseas so this would’ve made awesome Christmas presents!!! I wrote an email to Target corporate so maybe they will turn this around! This is the first time I have ever had an issue with Target!

P.S. Thank you for helping me make my care packages possible and less time consuming to put together!!!

  25. KeeKee says:

This deal worked perfectly for me in Florida. I warned my cashier up front of the potential issue, but when she scanned 2 of the sets the GC prompt popped up. I’m hoping some good Qs show up for the women’s sets.

  26. Lisa H says:

The register would not prompt for the gift card but I luckily had the had in hand thanks to YOU!! Two associates looked it over and gave me a manual discount of $5.00 right then and there. That’s even better than the gift card! Then they asked me if they could keep the ad so they could show and help other employees. Feels funny educating Target on a deal they advertised but hey whatever works!!

  27. marisha says:

I went to Target today – used the 3 coupons and got the gift card – no hassle!

  28. Mike M. says:

I just tried this deal for 2 sets with the $3 manu and the new Target $2 an Axe gift set on their site, but I thought getting 2 sets for $10 was a good deal for two gifts. My store in El Paso, TX did prompt them to give me the $5 gift card, I was unaware of it. The reason I came here is that all of the coupons beeped. Both the $3 manu and the $2 off Axe gift set Target coupons. Good thing I bought the ones in the picture so the cashier just pushed them though, and you could tell she was under the impression that it had be the products pictured! Dodged a bullet there…but still trying to find out why they beeped!
