Summer movies are a great way to take a break from the hot sun, eat some popcorn and enjoy a movie with your kids! And, many large theaters participate in FREE or very inexpensive Summer Film Festivals with fun titles like Rio2, Turbo, The Croods, The LEGO Movie, Peabody & Sherman and lots more.

Here’s a roundup of the ones I know about but be sure to call your local theater if you don’t see yours listed here to ask if they offer any summer specials or FREE Movies. Or if you know offhand of any programs you want to share with other readers, please feel free to share it in the comments with any info or link you can provide and I will add it to the post.

When you’re making plans, my advice is to get to the theater early, as sometimes there are whole groups of children from day camps arriving and they can fill up the theaters fast. Some of these programs may require you to enter your location first to see a schedule and list of movies. Hopefully the links below will help get you started…

FREE admission to select kids’ movies every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 am at participating Bowtie Cinemas. Tickets issued on a first come-first served basis. Go HERE for more details and a list of included movies.

All movies are rated G or PG and you can get 10 tickets in advance for $5, or pay just $1 per ticket at the box office on the day of the movie. Go HERE to find details, participating locations, showtimes, and a list of included movies.

Kids can enjoy a movie for FREE every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 10 am. Plus, get a Kid Tray for only $3.75 with popcorn, drink, and snack. Go HERE and enter your location for a complete schedule and more details.

The 2014 Regal Summer Movie Express runs for 9 weeks with select titles playing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with $1 admission. Movies will all be rated G or PG and start dates vary by location. You can check to see if you have a local participating theater along with movie titles and schedule HERE on the Regal Entertainment Group Summer Movie Express site. Movies are being offered by select Regal Cinemas, United Artists, and Edwards Theaters.

restaurant-com-logoThru tomorow, May 21st, is offering a $25 Restaurant Certificate for $4 when you use the code RAVE at checkout. If you have never ordered certificates before- it is a great way to save money dining out. You can go HERE to find participating restaurants by first entering the zip code, state, or city. You can further refine your search by a number of search criteria such as cuisine, price, restaurant name, etc… Once you locate a restaurant you can see the specific offer available for that restaurant.

These requirements will vary depending on the restaurant so be sure to pay attention to what they are. They are clearly described under the “add to cart” button in each offer. For example, the certificates do not usually apply to alcohol, take-out, or other specials at that restaurant such as happy hour. Additionally, there may be a minimum purchase requirement. For example you may need to spend at least $35 to use that $25 certificate but it is still a huge savings on dining!

After you pay for your certificate via credit card or paypal, you will receive it in your email to print out. Happy Dining – you are eating more for less!!
