This looks like a pretty nice freebie from FlameDisk, makers of an alternative product to Charcoal. Just go HERE and fill out the form, and they will send you an email with a link to a coupon that you can print and present at Target, (and other fine retailers nationwide) in exchange for a FREE FlameDisk! Although you will not find these products in all Target Stores- Mary let me know that they were doing some serious clerance on the Simply Organics Spices at her store. She found many Mini Spices on sale for .98 cents. There is also a .50/1 Simply Organic Mini Spice coupon to get them super cheap. There are actually several Simply Organic coupons available- but a heads up that these are PDF coupons and some stores have issues accepting these. BUT they are legitimate coupons and come directly from the Simply Organic Site HERE.
-Thanks Mary at Hooked on Bargains!
*Keep in mind that clearance varies from store to store- there is no guarantee you will find the same but I hope you do!
Although I have had my fair share of hassles at Target in the past, I have also had many a new-to-me cashier & manager handle a transaction or problem in a courteous, respectful, friendly, helpful manner. I don’t mind when a new cashier takes a little extra time to look over my coupons either- #1 to the best of my knowledge I use my coupons correctly, but #2 as long as they are friendly and polite and don’t look at me like they would rather stick needles in their eyes when they see my coupons- they are just doing their job.
I truly appreciate those employees who take the time to try and understand coupons and how they can be used as opposed to those who loathe them and make you well aware that they are hating every moment you are in line. To show my gratitude, I frequently fill out Guest Comment Cards. If you are unfamiliar with them- they can be found at Guest Services and they are also kept up at the registers in many stores. If you are happy with the service you get, think about taking a moment to fill out one of these cards to show your appreciation. You can either hand it in at the store- or drop it in the mail.
Steph just let me know that the coupons on the Fruit2o site have re-set- which means you should be able to grab 2 more $1/2 coupons even if you have printed from their site before. They are on Price Cut until 7/10 and a pretty good deal after the $1/2.

So I came across another new Special Purchase Deal on Sunday. I am missing one of the prices on one type of cat litter, I forgot to write it down- so if anyone can fill in that last blank before I can get back to Target that would be great. Okay, so even though it’s not as sweet as last time- especially since you can only print once this time around- it is still a nice deal with a stack- especially since Eggo’s are back on price cut! I see it HERE at zip 90210 in case you don’t!

Welcome to the Knorr Report – my notes and musings and sometimes slightly odd happenings each week. No really odd sightings for me this week- Knorr Alfredo is still holding strong at $1.14 – but I did get an e-mail from Sarah who found some very oddly marked clearance Reeses King Size sticks at her store. This was just a regular old King Size Package- but marked down 30% to $10.48. What a Bargain! Obviously a mismarked package- but I still got a chuckle. -Thanks Sarah from Life of a Couponaholic!
So what’s going on this week? For me the most exciting thing that happened was that we finally got the catalina machines! I was so thrilled! And on the not-so-exciting side- I too found the Aveeno Bodywash back up to $5.99- so that ship has definitely sailed in my area, and likely y’all are finding the same thing. I hope quite a few of you were able to get some cheap BodyWash during that short-lived run.
I noticed the Pro-Glide Razor got dropped down a buck this week- but the cartridges stayed the same price. I am hoping maybe the new P&G Brandsaver coming on 7/4 will hold a goldmine of coupons to help make that Target Gift Card coupon in the 6-20-10 SS worth using. And I don’t know about you guys- but my store has also pretty much got everything back in place in the grocery aisles and it looks clean and neat- but I feel like I am missing stuff now. For one thing I didn’t see any Knorr Vegetable dip and I saw someone comment yesterday that they did away with Raisinets in her store?!! Anyone else notice things missing?
I found a bit of clearance going on in the Skin Care aisle- specifically on Olay Definity and some Clean & Clear Products. The Blackhead Erasers and Refill Packs and some products in the Morning Burst Line were all clearanced 15- 30% off at my store. Possibly they are getting ready to make room for the new Battery Operated Clean & Clear Surge that will be making an appearance in stores soon. Outdoor furniture clearance was in full swing at my store as well as lots of outdoor garden items too. And toys- I indeed did find a lot of toys on clearance at my store- but mostly 15-30%, my store is always so slow in clearancing the toys and I always seem to be behind most of you in that department.
NOTES ON THIS WEEK’S SALE
If y’all have plans of picking up the Garnier this week- look for bonus packs that are priced the same. I had an endcap full of Shampoo & Conditioner with a nice hefty bonus size bundled in. and there are coupons too: $1/1 Garnier Fructis 06-13-10 RP, and a printable on coupons.com.
Pepperidge Farm Deli Flats was a nice surprise sale inclusion for me this week and the Hamburger & Hot Dog Bunsare on sale too for $1.99. While there are no MQs that I know of to stack it with- there is a Target Coupon available: $1.50/2 Pepperidge Farm Hamburger or Hot Dog buns Target Coupon PRINT x7/3. Not too bad at $1.24 for good quality buns.
I also noticed Swiss Premium Tea is on a 1-week Price Cut ending 7/3 with the Gallon Size for $1.99, and there is an insert Q for .55/1 Swiss Tea, any (1) gallon or (2) half gallons – 06-27-10 SS.
The Smaller size boxes of General Mills Cereals are on sale too – priced at 3/$7 in a large variety- Cocoa Puffs, Chex Mix, Cheerios, Lucky Charms and lots more. There’s the -.50/1 General Mills Cereal 8.5-oz. or larger Target Mobile Coupon x7/10 along with Manufacturer’s coupons in the 6-6 OR 6-13 SS and plenty of printables on coupons.com and SmartSource.
That’s it for now folks- hope everyone is having a great week!
A few of you have written me recently or commented to report some really unfortunate issues. And while I don’t have the answer of why this is happening- hopefully pointing out some of the things to watch for will help in some way. Most Target shoppers who use coupons know they need to try and watch the register like a hawk when coupons are being scanned. But even if you see those amounts come off, it still does not guarantee happiness in the end. Not only do we have to pay close attention to the coupons- but you also have to pay very close attention to your receipts. Here are some of the complaints and reports I have gotten in my inbox lately.
I have heard that when using $Off/2 coupons- some registers are automatically adjusting these coupons down to meet the price of only one item. So say for example you are buying 2 Jello for .58 cents each and youhave a $1/2 coupon. Instead of taking off the $1- the register is recognizing the coupon as a $1/1, instead of a $1/2 and automatically adjusting the coupon down to .58 cents (cost of one Jello) and you’re out .42 cents.
Also- there seems to be issues for some with certain brand coupons being applied to the wrong items and therefore some registers are automatically adjusting down a coupon that shouldn’t be. For example- let’s take the following two P&G Products: Olay Total Effects Body Wash at $4.79 and Pampers Wipes at $2.39. So for some of you- if you bought both these products and handed over your $4/1 Olay Total Effects coupon- some registers may automatically apply it to the Pampers and adjust it down to $2.39. Now you go to hand over your $2/1 Pampers coupon and since the Pamprs are occupied but it still recognizes you have another P&G product to apply it to- it takes off $2 off the Olay and you end up paying $2.79 for your Olay.
I am not certain, but believe that these issues are both associated with the new register software in place at some Target stores and I hope that these glitches get worked out quickly. But it can’t hurt to call corporate and report these issues either in hopes they get solved faster. But regardless- you should always check your receipts. Computers are NOT perfect and mistakes happen all the time. I remember a reader once telling me she got charged like $35 for a pound of Bananas!
