Price Match on Glade GC Deal for those w/Publix

While there are some pretty nice scenarios for a great deal on the Glade this week- many people are limited on what coupons they have. You only need 2 insert coupons for the following scenario, and a Publix in your area.

pricematch Starting on Thursday, Dec. 10th, there will be a Glade price match for Target shoppers who have a Publix nearby. Publix has the Glade 4 oz Candles advertised for 2/$4 and the gift card deal is this:

$5 Gift Card wyb 5 Selected Glade Products $2.50 each
The 4oz candle is one of the items specified.

Buy 5 candles = $12.50
-$2.50 (Publix Price Match)
-$3.00 (use 2 $1.50/2 Glade 4 oz jar candles from 12-6-09 SS)

= $7 and get back a $5 Gift Card

Like paying $2.00 for 5 candles after coupons and gift card

  1. Hey Colleen- you did everything right and you were entitled to the gift card. I am not sure if you spoke to a manager or not- but that is the first step. If any of you have trouble- be sure to ask for a manager immediately. Target does not specify anywhere that a price match excludes the gift card. Take your receipt back to the store and ask to speak to the head manager on duty. Hopefully he/she will issue the gift card w/out any trouble and be sure to ask them how you can prevent this from happening again. If you did speak to a manager- the next step is to e-mail or call corporate and ask them to resolve the issue. You are definitely entitled to that gift card!

  2. I went to my Target to do this deal on 12/12 and I did get 5 of the 4oz candles price matched, but I did not get a $5 gift card. I was at customer service when I did the price matching and they said they only give the gift card when they are promted to do so by their register and that it did not prompt her. ??? I was bummed out- that was the whole reason I went to Target to buy these. Is there anything else I should know about gift cards at Target?
