Snackurday: Delicious French Beignets

If you look up the definition of beignets, you will see them described as fried pieces of dough. To me that is kind of like describing coupons as pieces of paper!  While it might be technically correct, the definition just does not do this pastry justice.  Somewhat similar to a donut, it is a wonderful companion to a nice hot cup of coffee or a tall glass of milk!

Thanks to Amanda over at A Few Shortcuts, she has posted the recipe along with step-by-step instructions and photos to show just how easy it can be to make up a batch!

  1. Pillows of fried dough is another description. Instead of a round doughnut, they are often rectangular.
