Amanda has a great recipe today that can save time in the kitchen.  Her homemade pancake mix recipe is very easy and can be stored up to 6 weeks in the fridge or even longer in the freezer.  This recipe is perfect to have on hand on a busy morning as most of your work is done!  Just add milk and eggs and any extras like chocolate chips and you are good to go.

And you can use this make ahead mix to also make biscuits!  You can check out her step by step instructions for both breakfast staples on her post HERE.

  1. If you save the butter in the mix you dont have to refrigerate the mixture, just add a 2 tsp of melted butter to your eggs when you are ready to make them, also if you want buttermilk pancakes substitute the milk with buttermilk and separate the egg, add the yolk to the butter and the white to the milk and then combine you will get the perfect buttermilk pancake.

  2. LOL this is too perfect! I woke up thinking about wishing I had some bisquick and then I was remembering seeing it made on my favorite cooking show. So you took all the research work out of this for me. Thanks!
