For those of you who have the Stock Up & Save Get Your Year in Gear Section in your stores with bulk & bonus packaged items, I am hearing more and more about items starting to go on clearance. While there may not be a lot of amazing deals to be had quite yet with most being 15-30% Off, there’s always hope for bigger drops. So I thought I would do a roundup of some of the items that have been spotted in this section along with some coupon matchups to hopefully help you get prepared & help you grab some bargains when we see some bigger discounts in this section.
Most of the items we have coupons for seem to be just 15-30% Off, but I hear housewares and electronics have already been seen up to 50% Off. Emily reported Farberware, iPad Portfolio cases, smartphone accessories, Value Pack nutrition bars anywhere from 30-50%.
And Jessica reported finding her super jumbo boxes of Huggies diapers (originally $37.99) already marked 50% off!! Her boxes were already down to $18.98, while Emily’s sit at 15% Off, so again – it can vary greatly by store- but you will have to keep a close eye on this section as I have a feeling the clearance will move pretty fast in this area.
Keep in mind that what is in the Get Your Year In Gear sections can vary by store & region- quite honestly my section is tiny- so it’s just wild to see some of the pictures readers have sent in, And while certain shelves may be marked a certain percentage- it’s wise to check your stickers, and it can’t hurt to scan if you are especially interested.

Would anyone happen to know how long it take for clearance on diapers from 15% to 30 or 50%???
Yes they do donate their products to the goodwill i see all the clothing there but they are more expensive than when they had them at target, for example they had the massimo tank tops for 1.99 i got some for my daughter the next time i went to the goodwill they are selling them for 3.99 i think now a days the goodwill is more expensive than the actual store.
Question about the cereals. Even if the packs have 2 boxes & I have a coupon say for $1/2 boxes I can’t use it correct? I would think it would be counted as 1 box of cereal since it’s a multi-pack. Thanks!
Red tickets means they throw them out. Green tickets mean they donate it. (they donate all of there products to goodwill, and goodwill does not take food.
It worked kerry. They gave me the remaining money and they also took the giftcard. I dont think they were planning to throw them out. They put red stickers on them, and scanned them.
Some of these are still doing the gift card deal. Like the hand soap refills buy 3 get $5 gift card…not a bad deal. They took all the giftcard signs down at my store but I went to customer service to have them check and it is still going on. Worth checking.
Hi, would anyone happen to know which target has the huggies diapers on clearance? I live in wichita ks, it’s seem like they never put any of that on clearance!
I was at Target last night and picked up the two pack of Shredded Wheat on clearance that was labeled $4.24 however when I got up to the register it rang up for only $2.11. Not sure this is at all stores but it was a nice surprise and I plan on heading back tonight.
I was actually in that section yesterday and the employee was taking off the clearance stickers! I asked her if I could still get the clearance price (she didnt remove all the stickers yet) and she rudely (!) told me no. Later, another employee came by and she said to the other lady “now we are going to raise the prices!”….
I have a $2/1 any Covergirl product Catalina coupon I got last month, hope I find a good deal on mascara!
The problem with food items is if you return them they have to throw them away. So if you can spare the money I would donate them. Although someone returned some medication the other day and they used to have to toss that too but I heard the lady said they can donate it now so it may have changed with food too.

Hey Taral- it’s a good question & I can’t be sure of how they will treat the situation- if you notice on your receipt it likely says that all items will need to be returned in order for a refund. I know they will not refund the gift card- because it is yours to keep- so they will deduct the value of that for sure.
I recently did the pasta deal at target, bought 10 boxes and got the gift card didnt use any coupons. Now i found out my hubby needs to be eating gluten free. Is it possible for me ro get money back if i returned 9 boxes because we opened one? And would i still get the money back?
