FOR THOSE WITH HIGHER PRICES: I understand that some of you have these same eye shadows in your stores for as high as $6.99. But keep in mind Target’s Low Price Promise which allows you to price match and use a manufacturer’s coupon. Target.com offers the intense-i shadows for just $4.99 Regular Price, so as long as the color you are interested in is in stock, you can Price Match.
Only a manufacturer’s coupon can be used after a Price Match is made, so you cannot use the Target coupon, but their complete policy can be found HERE which clearly states that you can use a manufacturer’s coupon when Price Matching, making them just .99 cents after coupon & price match. To price match, bring your item & coupon up to Guest Services and show them the price on your phone, however they will likely verify on their own device.

Coupon regional- I didn’t get it 🙁
This is how it was explained to me by the Target manager —
When you go to the register, and hand over the TQ, the price should automatically change on the receipt. Example, if your stores reg price for Almay is $6.99, the receipt will now reflect $5.99. You CAN go to CS and PM for $4.99. You’ll be refunded $1 + tax.
If the price for Almay is $5.49 and you use a TQ, it changes to $4.49 and in this scenario, you can’t PM b/c the price is now lower than $4.99.
That coupon might be regional because i didn’t get it.
Yes I agree policy is horribly written and all dressed up to make it sound nice- but the bottom line is – if Target coupons are to be used BEFORE a price match- then it is a moot point and they are useless against a price match.
@Tiffany-Target Price matching policy may not be the clearest but it does state you can use the TQ BEFORE the price match – in essence if you read thru the policy and do some scenarios you will see it negates the TQ. For Example: Almay at my store is $6.99 – $1 TQ = $5.99. The Price Match of $4.99 is lower and the MQ is then applied making it .99 after price match and coupon. You can’t apply the TQ AFTER the pm is made.
This is response to the above mentioned Almay makeup deal. Target does price match and you can stack coupons, as it clearly states in their price match guarantee. I have already gone through this at my Target and actually had to call a supervisor at corporate because they wouldn’t take my coupons for an item I wanted to price match a few weeks ago, the employees were then reprimanded and they assured me it wouldn’t happen again. I plan on getting some of this makeup, as it’s a good deal, and if they refuse my coupons again all I have to do is call from the service desk and corporate will take care of it! So if you have any problems with price match or coupons call directly from the service desk so they can help you as you are in the store, don’t wait until you get home! Just a first hand experience, trying to help everyone else out =).
Can I use a coupon when price matching?
A guest can use coupons when price matching per Target’s normal coupon policy. When the guest presents a coupon(s), these steps will be followed:
Manufacturer coupons: manufacturer coupons will be applied after the price match is made.
Target coupons: Target coupons will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor’s price.
Combining both Target and manufacturer coupons: the Target coupon will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor’s price. Once the price match is made the manufacturer coupon will be applied.
Reminder: we accept one manufacturer coupon and one Target coupon for the same item unless either coupon prohibits it. Target does not ad match a competitor’s coupon-required offers.
