My store managers had been introduced to Cartwheel. So this is how it works: SCAN all the items in your cart. Then give them all your Target Coupons. Then you can either give them your cartwheel or you can give them your man q’s.. Or Vice Versa. You just have to make sure that you give them your Target q’s BEFORE you do your Cartwheel.. Otherwise your cartwheel wont work. I love this new way of saving, but I’m noticing MORE and MORE that they are beginning to restrict and flex their couponing muscles when it comes to what you can and can’t use or do.. So just follow the rules and if you aren’t sure ask.. My Target loves when I ask when I’m not sure..
Hi Rachel – yes sorry- the Venus & Olay does only come in a 3 ct refill- which is why I did not update. To use the Target coupon you would need to buy a Venus & Olay 6 ct refill which I believe was around $25
I have used Cartwheel once. I had them scan all of my coupons first and I always watch carefully to make sure all my coupons are coming off like they should as I’ve had several where they didn’t work but the cashier kept my coupons anyway! Then I watched her scan my cartwheel barcode (I had printed it out as I hate mobile coupons), and I saw it take a little more off. BUT my overall total went UP because when Cartwheel scanned, all of the 4 items it applied to in that transaction suddenly didn’t have a TQ applied to them. Like it erased my TQ’s which were for $3 each, to give me a measly 5% off which was pennies. They say you can use 1 TQ, 1 Cartwheel and 1 MQ per item, but then their system doesn’t seem to know how to handle it. So at this point, I am not using any Cartwheel deals that I’m also using coupons on. And yes, the cashiers have no idea what Cartwheel is.
Any update yet on the Venus and Olay deal (in regards to the refills as noted in the matchups above)?
@Lisa – yeah, I am finding they still have no idea about the program. We are all learning together – it is still in beta so maybe they’ll work out the kinks and train their employees better then. :0) At least we can hope!
Sabrina- Yes, I had at least 3 items that had cartwheel offers attached. I’m annoyed that Target would roll out this program and not train their employees as to how it works.
@Lisa – did you add the offers to your account? It will only take off the ones you have added to your account. You start with ten and then get more added as you use the app – I am up to 13.
Aren’t you only allowed to use one Target Q per transaction?
How does Cartwheel work at the register? I went on Friday with a whole list of various deals and the lady looked at me like I was crazy when I told her about Cartwheel. She called over a manager/supervisor person who had heard of it, but still wasn’t sure how it worked. She canned my phone at the start of the transaction, then scanned all of my items, coupons, etc. then totaled. There wasn’t any indication of cartwheel savings, so she scanned the barcode again and it said something like “Cartwheel applied” but I didn’t see anything on the screen or receipt, and the prices did not change. I know I had at least 3 things that had Cartwheel deals. Any tips?
The cartwheel offer worked for four wet ones in a transaction for me on Friday.
children’s Tylenol b2 get $5 gc is going on into June. my store had grape and bubble gum with the deal. $5.99 each with 2 $1 Manu coupons and gc was a deal!
Jose — “Each Cartwheel offer may be used for up to a maximum of 4 qualifying items per transaction, unless otherwise noted.”
I was looking at the Barbie Mega Blocks coupons/sale stack that is out there for this week. This is how I would try it:
Barbie Mega Blocks (2) $79.98
-1/2 off sale takes off $20
-(2) 20% Target Qs (takes off $16)
-(2) $10 MQs I printed last week
-$2.20 Cartwheel
=$21.78 or $10.89 each
Which is saving over 72% on these. Please tell me if I calculated something wrong. (Other than the two TQs. I know some can’t use 2 but I can if I have someone with me 🙂
Adriana, It says you have to buy 6 for the gift card.
Anyone knows how many times I can use a cartwheel offer? I want to buy 4 wet-ones canisters but will the cartwheel offer work for all four items? Or will it take the percentage off one ?
Thanks
Isn’t the General Mills deal better if you do this:
4 Lucky Charms
1 Cherrios
Total: $13.75
-$2 ($1/2 Big G Cereals x2)
-$0.50 (Cherrios)
Pay $11.25 get $5 back so $1.25 each?
BTW, what counts as a Big G cereal?
I was able to print 60 cents and 85 cents off cereal coupons on Pillsbury.com This will allow some to get a better deal.
Got the wet ones yesterday! $0.60 is a fantastic price, and I needed to re-stock (2 year old boy at home).
