@Olivia Gift card is triggered regardless of price matching, unless the total after price matching is less than the amount of the gift card. If you wanna be a little more surreptitious about it (although I don’t think it’s necessary), price matching must be done at guest service, so do that after you check out at the front lanes and they may not realize you have the gift card.
Oh and let’s not forge that grocery stores here are thru the roof! As much as 100% higher.
Walmart isn’t cheaper for me. They are on par, so with deals, TQs and redcard, there’s no question. I’d rather shop Target after experiences at walmart anyway.
@IG
I always wonder why folks shop at Walmart in my town. They are higher priced on everything
I have price compared and usually by more than $0.50. I noticed a couple of days ago that Walmart still had Christmas food items on “clearance”…. Giardelli mint bark for $1.99. I just think that is crazy they don’t sell it in season…. your Walmart must compete price wise. Ours does not. Crazy how much higher priced they are and people’s perception still has them going thru the door.
I’m going to buy 4 Dreyer’s, 4 Haagan-Dazs and 2 Outshine bars. use 4 $1.50 coupons and 2 $0.50 Target coupons and $1.00/2 coupon for Outshine bars .5% off Outshine bars from Cartwheel, 10% off Haagan-Dazs from Cartwheel and get back $10 gift card. Also I will use red card.(*^__^*)
So if I do a price match and get them for $1.99/es (Albertsons) would they not allow me to have a gift card? I have always wondered this..
So happy!! I live in Texas and it is so hot we eat a lot of fruit bars. This is an amazing deal. Thank for sharing.
There is also a $1/2 Outshine coupon in the same place as the Edy’s coupon. I am going to try this. Buy 8 Edys ice cream and 2 Outshine bars, use 2 .50/1 Outshine Target coupon, 1 $1/2 Outshine manufacturers coupon, use 4 $1.50 off two Edys ice cream, plus the cartwheel and Target gift cards. That comes out to about $1.16 each and I wont have to buy ice cream for my family of 6 for the rest of the year!
I don’t understand where people get the idea that Target prices are higher??? They certainly are not. Even without counting the giftcard…$2.99 on those Outshine Bars and Icecreams is a great price. The Haagen Dazs and Edy’s Icecream is more than $2.99 at Walmart’s everyday price. I think Target is very reasonably priced and when it comes to all the non-food items Walmart’s quality doesn’t even compare to Target’s quality. I’d rather pay the $0.02 – $0.50 extra at Target, because it will last; hence, saving me money. Most of the time I pay less for everything at Target because they are ALWAYS running clearance. I have also noticed that Target targets young moms by offering GREAT everyday prices on baby food and diapering needs. UP & UP baby food is cheaper than Parent’s Choice, UP & UP boxed diapers are cheaper (and much better quality) per unit than Parent’s Choice, and Luvs diapers are always cheaper per unit at Target. But, that’s just my opinion. I love your site and I love Target! Thanks for sharing these deals with all of us!
Only 5??? Why not a dozen??
I so wish that Target would do away with the Target coupons and the 5% off with Target RedCard and lower their prices to match Walmart’s and H-E-B’s everyday prices. But, that’s just my opinion and no one forces me to shop at Target.
