  1. I think the only plus is being able to redeem at any store. But you do have to make sure the receipt is detailed. I have not had a rejection, but have read (like Heidi) of being turned down b/c the product line isn’t detailed enough for them. I’ve successfully used receipts from Target, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens & a local grocery store. It does take about a day or 2 for the turnaround between submitting the receipt to it being processed and added to your account. The $20 limit to cash out doesn’t bother me, since I bank all my rebates I make during the year to use towards Christmas.

The biggest downside is the product selection. I have had basically the same set since I joined. (Krave Cereal, Pop Tarts, Belvita, Scrubbing Bubbles, Shout, Halls and a few others) Apparently, the more offers you do, the better selection of products will be added. But how can I get the better offers when my current ones stink! I wish the Special K was on it this current week since I bought so much with the 50% CW offer!

  2. Even though it is “free money,” I find this app to have several “negative Nancy” aspects, so sorry in advance for the downer comments.

I find it truly infuriating that offers are regional, personal, or something else yet to be figured out. You can look at previews on three different blogs, see variable items, and then still receive completely different items AND read comments that discuss still other unique offers that you haven’t (and may never) see/seen!

I am also bothered by not only their inability to recognize their own offers on receipts but also their refusal to learn from mistakes (I’ve had similar items appear during different weeks that continue to be rejected, as though they have no database or continuous improvement process that corrects these oversights).

Finally, it took them a week to send my check after I finally reached $20, and it’s been another week and I still haven’t received (and I’m very close to Canada, but perhaps on the wrong side of the country)? I feel that this is by far the worst app compared to Ibotta and Shopmium.

  3. My check did come very quickly. I was a little worried it would take a while when I realized it was coming from Canada.

  4. @ Tee tee – it’s OK. Turnaround is not as speedy as ibotta (maybe a day more though so not too shabby). I’ve been turned down on a couple credits because the receipt isn’t detailed enough for them to figure out what I bought (annoying when compared to ibotta’s UPC scanner). Two other things get to me: (1) have to get to $20 to cash out compared to $5 with ibotta and (2) the payout comes as a check as opposed to a paypal transfer. All in all, however, it’s free money to me. I’m not going out of my way to buy something that I wouldn’t.
