Each year, an assortment of all kinds of products that have holiday or winter packaging inevitably go on clearance. Every year I start gathering a list of these products – mainly those that we may have coupons for – and do a matchup. While there is no guarantee EVERYTHING on the list will get clearanced- there is a good chance that many will.
The day after Christmas is when many items will go 50% Off. So for that reason – I am only going to include coupons that will not expire before or on Christmas. We also have Cartwheel offers and I will include the ones that don’t specify that they exclude clearance.
Please feel free to leave a comment if you think of something not on the list that has any sort of special holiday or winter packaging that you know will likely go on clearance after Christmas and that there may be coupons for.
I will be continually updating this list and will put a button on the sidebar for easy access to it. Hopefully it will grow even larger in the coming days with your help. Together, we can help each other be well-prepared for the bargains to be had once these items go on clearance. Holiday dollar spot items were 70% off today. lots of color books, felt art posters, hello kitty, foam stickers, bags, etc in TX.
Today I found lots of the up and up wipes,Puffs tissue,Kleenex paper towels,Hello Kitty slipper socks,Griswold t-shirts &,Vaseline lip gloss at 70% off in Orange County CA. Also there were shelves of items @50% off. I purchased Planters peanut assortment. There were several rows of cookie mix,chocolates,Starbuck K-cups and MP fruit snacks. Thanks to all who make this shopping an experience.
None of the holiday Starbucks was clearance yet. I’m excited for that!
There’s still an entire wall of holiday food available at my Target in Fresno. But it’s only 30%, so I’m waiting until it gets to 50%.

Very disappointing selections here in Minnesota. There was no Kleenex of Ziplock bags left at the two stores I tried. I heard that they were all gone by 9am on the 26th.

All beauty gift packs are still only 15% off at Troy Hills NJ area target but lots of gladware and the dunkin donuts eggnogger coffer was marked down to $5 plus 40% off in cartwheel. I tend to buy items that I really want the day after Christmas. Items like paper, bags, tags and bows tend to stick around a while, and usually there is plenty left at 70-90% off.
I scored Starbucks holiday blend k-cups 50% off on Tuesday, December 23. Then, added my coupons, plus my 5% pharmacy rewards and 5% for red card.
I agree. Usually most gone, by 70-90%. Will depend on your area. I’m from Iowa/Minnesota area. You will start to see over the years what goes the fastest. I usually pick up anything I for sure want at 50% and anything I only somewhat want will try n wait til 70% at least. Things will get moved to one area as it sells down.

Here in Houston there’s hardly anything left if I wait for 70/90% so I buy what I can on the 26th. In my experience, the items are still in the same place but as things start moving out they will start reorganizing and putting everything towards the back where the other seasonal stuff is.

@Kaye… Kerry will post the dates of years past when the 70%-90% markdowns have taken place. I always watch for that post but still the dates and the amount left varies. I will say that what has helped me the most are the comments and pictures people send in of clearances items or unadvertised deals. Then I know what I am looking for and saving time as well. Keep checking this site and have your phone with you in the store so that you can check the site and see the pictures while you are at the store! Have fun!
Any idea when to expect 70% and 90% reductions. Can anyone attest to how much stuff is left til 90%. This is my first year couponing and am excited cuz I love being generous at Christmas. I just don’t want to spend too much too early.

Last year I got JR Watkins hand soap seasonal scents on clearance, there is a 20% off in cart wheel that expires 1/1/15
Is there holiday softsoap? I scored on Halloween softsoft this year. No coupons, but hoping there is still a deal!
FYI the eGiftcards with the Schick men’s hydro gift sets has a limit of 5 per person. Also to redeem in stores you must show the barcode on your web enabled mobile phone (Target stores can not accept a printed copy of a Target egift card at register.). Once you enter the info they send an email with gift card info to you.
The Target on Boughton Rd in Bolingbrook IL has men’s and women’s personal care gift sets 50% off. No coupons to use on the Schick Hydro 5 gift set but watch for the packages to say: get a free $5 target egift card inside! The price was $4.98 so free after eGiftcard. Plus $12.40 in manufacturer’s coupons in box ($2.00 schick hydro/Quattro men’s, $2.00 Schick razors for women, $2.00 Schick disposable, $0.55 shave gel edge/skinmate/hydro, $2.00 Playtex tampons, $2.00 Playtex infant product, $0.75 Wet Ones, $1.00 Banana Boat/Hawaiian Tropic sun care).

Just got home from T. My store had all the beauty gift sets already marked to 30% off, 50% off on Christmas trees & 30% off on misc. lights & decorations. 🙂 I will wait til 70% @ least & preferably 90! 😀 Thanks, Kerry, what a wonderful list! 🙂
@Melissa- yes wrapping paper is usually abound – I just try and focus mostly on things that have coupon matchups every year for this list or may have matchups pop-up.
But if your store has good stock left- wrapping paper is a great thing to stock up on with after Christmas clearance.

Thanks! Something tells me that my Target won’t have much left, though. Halloween was a bust this year with my store unlike some other Targets that had tons of great stuff leftover. It saddens me. I love, love, love this list… last year I was all ready with my coupons and list and scored some big deals! Thank you for all your work on this list Kerry- it really helps our family a lot! I still have some of the tin foil from last year so I know I will be looking for that again.
In Chicago, I had really good luck finding Halloween candy on clearance after Halloween at the fairly new Target near where Cabrini Green used to be (Division & Halsted.) Could maybe be the same case with wrapping paper? Just a thought…

TARGET here in chicago has all the table linens placemats, tableclothes and table runners marked 30% off but, the sticker price was 50% WOOHOO
