When you freeze cheese, it becomes very crumbly. It’s fine if you want to use it for stuff like cooking or to sprinkle on top of something, but not so great for party trays or sandwiches.
The Sharp Cheddar and Vermont Cheddar were $2.44 @ my store in Keene, NH yesterday, as well.
I found Sharp White Cheddar (Cracker Cuts) on clearance for $2.44 last night. The regular cheddar cracker cuts was still regular price. The clearance worked with my cartwheel too!
I bought 2 on Saturday as well.
will buy some more.
Thank you!
I froze the black pepper variety. They were very crumbly when defrosted, no good for a cheese tray for guests. I wouldn’t recommend it. Thanks for reminding me so I don’t freeze them again!
Amy, not sure how the blocks would freeze, but shredded cheese freezes well. Maybe shred and place in a freezer bag.
Amy, I just bought two as well yesterday, at my local grocery store. I paid $2.34 each and thought that was a good deal! I was headed to Target today anyway, so I will pick some more up. And yes, they do freeze just fine as I have done it before!
Of course these would come out today; I just bought 2 blocks last night. Has anyone tried freezing them?
