FREE & Discount Activities for Kids and Families

Here are some FREE & Discount events going on this weekend. Many may seem to have consistent national participation- but it is always wise to call your local location to be sure they are participating.  

basspro10-30BASS PRO SHOPS: Check out the Halloween events going on today and tomorrow at Bass Pro Shops! There will be Trick-or-Treating from 6 to 8 pm and a costume parade for kids 12 & under. They will also be handing out glow-in-the-dark buckets to participants.

While you’re there, get your photo taken with the Peanuts Gang set on Friday from 6 to 8 pm or Saturday, October 31st from 2 to 8 pm. Go HERE to their website to print a coupon for a $5 Halloween photo package (one 5×7, 4 wallets, and digital download, a $10 value).

WENDY’S: Remember to head over to Wendy’s and grab their $1 Halloween Coupon Books while supplies last! Each book has either 5 or 10 FREE Jr. Frosty coupons depending on location. Proceeds benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, go HERE for more details.

krispy-kreme10-23KRISPY KREME: Be sure and stop by your local Krispy Kreme on Halloween wearing your costume and you’ll get a FREE Doughnut! Offer valid all day while supplies last. Go HERE to find a location near you.

LAKESHORE LEARNING CRAFT: Saturday, October 31st from 11 am to 3 pm —Kids can make a spooky spider web and spider to go with it! Join the fun every Saturday with FREE crafts for kids at all locations. IHOP: Just a reminder that Ihop is offering a a FREE Scary Face Pancake between 7 am and 10 pm today, October 30th at participating locations. This offer is for kids 12 & under only, limit one per child on 10/30, dine in only.  Kids can choose their own toppings: strawberries, whipped topping, Mini Oreo cookies, and candy corn! Go HERE to find a participating location near you. LEGO BUILD SIGNUP: The next LEGO Monthly Mini Model Build will be held on November 3rd & 4th. Be sure and register asap if you wish to attend. Stores will no longer accept walk ups on the night of the event. You can go HERE To register.

chipotleCHIPOTLE: Head over to Chipotle’s on Halloween, October 31st, in costume from 5 pm to close, and you can get a $3 burrito. Go HERE to find a participating location near you.

LIVING SOCIAL: Another good resource for great deals and discounts in your local area is Living Social. You can head over HERE to check for deals on all kinds of things including kids’ activities, entertainment, dining out, travel, etc. Just enter your zip code or city and state.

TOYS ‘R US: Head over to your local Toys ‘r Us store on Halloween from 12 noon to 1 pm, for some sweet treats, picture with Geoffrey and show off your costume in a special Halloween parade! TACO BELL:
 Coming Soon! In honor of the World Series of Major League Baseball, Taco Bell will be handing out FREE A.M. Crunch wraps on November 5th as part of their “Steal a Base, Steal a Breakfast” promotion. Limit one per person, 7 am to 11 am at participating locations.

AMC THEATRES: If your family enjoys going to the movies, then check out this cool offer from AMC Theatres. Now thru tomorrow, October 31st, if you Buy One Adult Ticket to Goosebumps or Hotel Transylvania 2, you can Get One Child’s Ticket FREE! NATIONAL PARKS – JUNIOR RANGER PROGRAM: The National Park Service Junior Ranger program takes place in almost all parks and is appropriate for kids, ages 5 to 13, but people of all ages can participate. Junior Rangers are given a series of activities to complete during a park visit, share their answers with a park ranger, and receive an official Junior Ranger patch and certificate. For more details, check it out HERE. Plus, did you know that Active Duty Military members and their families can get FREE admission to National Parks year-round? Military ID is required. micheals10-30MICHAEL’S KIDS CLUB: Kids are invited to Michael’s Halloween Monster Bash, this Saturday, October 31st from 9 am to 3 pm. Come in costume and make your own trick-or-treat bag for $2 (supplies included). Plus, they will be painting faces for FREE and throwing hourly costume parades. Offer valid while supplies last. GROUPON: Sign up and receive a daily email from Groupon with coupon offers for savings up to 90% in a city near you. Visit the Groupon Site, choose your city and enter your e-mail. POTTERY BARN:   Kids can enjoy Story Time, every Tuesday from 11am – 11:30am– check out program details HERE. Members receive an official Book Club Passport at their first story time, plus a special gift after attending five sessions. Watch for special story time events as well!

FREE & DISCOUNT ADMISSIONS COURTESY OF TARGET: Target sponsors several community events including FREE and discount admissions to arts and cultural events & institutions nationwide.
