Here are some FREE & Discount events going on this weekend. Many may seem to have consistent national participation- but it is always wise to call your local location to be sure they are participating.
BANK OF AMERICA: If you have a Bank of America Debit Card- then check out the list of qualifying museums that you have FREE admission to the first weekend of every month! You can go HERE to find out more about the Museums on Us Program and view a list of participating museums in your area.
THE POTTERY BARN: Saturday, November 14th at 3 pm & 4 pm, The Pottery Barn is hosting a St. Jude Thanks and Giving Tea Party! Kids are encouraged to bring their favorite doll, stuffed animal or super hero. For a $10 donation, children can enjoy sweet treats, refreshments and a special coloring activity. Kids can also enjoy Story Time, every Tuesday from 11am – 11:30am– check out program details HERE. Members receive an official Book Club Passport at their first story time, plus a special gift after attending five sessions. Watch for special story time events as well!

LAKESHORE LEARNING CRAFT: Saturday, November 7th from 11 am to 3 pm —Kids can make their own Patriotic Windsock to celebrate Veterans Day! Join the fun every Saturday with FREE crafts for kids at all locations. For a complete calendar of events, check out their Facebook page HERE and click on the Events Tab if you don’t see them.
HOME DEPOT: Saturday, November 7th from 9 am to 12 pm. Kids can build their own Jet in honor of Veterans Day! These FREE, hands-on workshops are designed for kids ages 5-12. Go HERE and click on the Kids Workshops tab for more details.
LEGO BUILD SIGNUP: Mark your calendars for November 15th starting at 9 am to register for the next LEGO Monthly Mini Model Build. Stores will no longer accept walk ups on the night of the event so you’ll want to register in advance to participate. When registration begins, just go HERE to sign up.
LIVING SOCIAL: Another good resource for great deals and discounts in your local area is Living Social. You can head over HERE to check for deals on all kinds of things including kids’ activities, entertainment, dining out, travel, etc. Just enter your zip code or city and state.
LOWE’S: Saturday, November 14th at 10 am, kids can build their own Pullback Car! All Build & Grow Clinics give kids a chance to build a wooden project and receive a free apron, goggles, patch, and more! You can go HERE for more details.
DISNEY STORE: Coming Soon! The Disney store will be hosting a Dino-rama Event at select locations on Saturday, November 14th from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and again on Sunday, November 15th from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. You can go HERE for more details.
NATIONAL PARKS – JUNIOR RANGER PROGRAM: The National Park Service Junior Ranger program takes place in almost all parks and is appropriate for kids, ages 5 to 13, but people of all ages can participate. Junior Rangers are given a series of activities to complete during a park visit, share their answers with a park ranger, and receive an official Junior Ranger patch and certificate. MICHAEL’S KIDS CLUB: Check out Michael’s store events for fun craft activities. Kids can make and take home a completed project– cost varies by project and includes supplies (usually in $2 – $7 range). Recommended for ages 3 and up. This Saturday, November 7th, from 10 am – 12 pm, kids can make their own Wish List ornament. Just go HERE and scroll down to see the schedule. Also this Saturday, kids and adults can each make their own tree ornament during the Family Workshop event. There is a cost of $5 per project which includes all supplies. See site for more details.
