Here are some FREE & Discount events going on this weekend. Many may seem to have consistent national participation- but it is always wise to call your local location to be sure they are participating.
BANK OF AMERICA: If you have a Bank of America Debit Card- then check out the list of qualifying museums that you have FREE admission to the first weekend of every month! You can go HERE to find out more about the Museums on Us Program and view a list of participating museums in your area.
DISNEY STORE: Saturday, February 6th – The Disney Store is celebrating Disney Reads Day with a special story time and activities. Plus, for each book purchased on 2/6 at the Disney store, a book will be donated. More details can be found at firstbook.org/BeInspired. HOME DEPOT: Just a reminder that tomorrow, February 6th at 9 am Home Depot will be holding their monthly Kids Workshop. Kids will build and paint their own Valentines Mailbox! In addition to keeping their completed project, kids also receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. These FREE, hands-on workshops are designed for kids ages 5-12. Go HERE & click on Kids Workshops tab for more details.
POTTERY BARN: Kids can enjoy Story Time, every Tuesday from 11am – 11:30am– check out program details HERE. Members will receive a special gift after attending five sessions. Watch for special story time events as well!
LAKESHORE LEARNING CRAFT: Saturday, February 6th from 11 am to 3 pm — Check out Lakeshore’s special Valentine’s Day Craft Event where kids can make their own Suncatcher. GROUPON: Sign up and receive a daily email from Groupon with coupon offers for savings up to 90% in a city near you. Visit the Groupon Site, choose your city and enter your e-mail. Each day they feature something cool to do in your city at an unbeatable price. LOWE’S BUILD AND GROW: Saturday, February 6th at 10 am, kids can build their own Valentine’s Day Picture Frame! All Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinics give kids a chance to build a wooden project and receive a free apron, goggles, patch, and more! You can go HERE for more details.
BARNES & NOBLE: Saturday,February 6th at 11 am — You’re invited to a special storytime and activities featuring Silly Wonderful You. Check your local Barnes & Noble store for participation and other events. Just go HERE and enter your zip code.
MICHAEL’S KIDS CLUB: Check out Michael’s store events for fun craft activities. Kids can make and take home a completed project– cost varies by project and includes supplies (usually in $2 – $7 range). Kids Club is recommended for ages 3 and up. This Saturday, February 6th – kids can make their own Cupid’s Arrow Valentine, cost of supplies will be $2. And, Michael’s will also be hosting a special Fun Family Craft Time from 1 to 3 pm where kids and their loved ones can make Valentine-themed Chalkboard Frames. LIVING SOCIAL: Another good resource for great deals and discounts in your local area is Living Social. You can head over HERE to check for deals on all kinds of things including kids’ activities, entertainment, dining out, travel, etc. Just enter your zip code or city and state.
SUPER TARGET: If you live near a Super Target with a bakery, you can get a FREE Fresh Baked Cookie for your kids! The next time you go shopping, just ask one of the bakery employees for a FREE cookie for your child. You can go HERE to check for Super Target locations.
