Here are some FREE & Discount events going on this weekend. Many may seem to have consistent national participation- but it is always wise to call your local location to be sure they are participating.

toysrus2-26TOYS ‘R US: Saturday, February 27th from 12 to 2pm — Toys ‘R Us will be hosting a special Pokemon Card Event! Kids ages 6 & up can trade & collect cards PLUS take home a FREE Pikachu and Magikarp promo cards, activity book and poster. Parental supervision is required at all times. Giveaways available while supplies last, limit one per child. You can check out all the details HERE.

GROUPON: Sign up and receive a daily email from Groupon with coupon offers for savings up to 90% in a city near you. Visit the Groupon Site, choose your city and enter your e-mail. LAKESHORE LEARNING CRAFT: 
Saturday, February 27th from 11 am to 3 pm — Kids can make their own Fantastically Funny Fish. Also from 10 am to 3 pm come help celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday! Join the fun every Saturday with FREE crafts for kids at all locations. For a complete calendar of events, check out their Facebook page HERE and click on the Events Tab if you don’t see them.

disney2-25DISNEY STORE: On February 27th and March 5th, kids can become a Junior Zootopia officer and help solve a case plus get a FREE giveaway. Minimum age is 3 years and event is limited based on store capacity. You can check at your local store HERE for more details.

POTTERY BARN: Kids can enjoy Story Time, every Tuesday from 11am – 11:30am– check out program details HERE. Members will receive a special gift after attending five sessions. Watch for special story time events as well!

HOME DEPOT: Mark your calendars for Saturday March 5th from 9 am – 12 pm – the next hands-on workshop is to build a rolling toy wagon for tiny toys. Once built, your child can decorate it with Home Depot stickers. Kids get to keep their craft, receive a certificate of achievement, a workshop apron and a commemorative pin while supplies last. BARNES & NOBLE: Saturday, February 27th at 11 am — You’re invited to a special storytime and activities celebrating Dr. Seuss’s Birthday, including pin the tail on Horton and decorating a hat for the Cat in the Hat. Check your local Barnes & Noble store for participation and other events. Just go HERE and enter your zip code.

LIVING SOCIAL: Another good resource for great deals and discounts in your local area is Living Social. You can head over HERE to check for deals on all kinds of things including kids’ activities, entertainment, dining out, travel, etc. Just enter your zip code or city and state.

LOWE’S BUILD AND GROW: Saturday, February 27th at 10 am, the next Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinic where kids will get to build their own Monster Jam Dragon car! All Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinics give kids a chance to build a wooden project and receive a free apron, goggles, patch, and more! You can go HERE for more details.

michaels2-25MICHAEL’S KIDS CLUB:  Check out Michael’s store events for fun craft activities. Kids can make and take home a completed project– cost varies by project and includes supplies (usually in $2 – $7 range). Kids Club is recommended for ages 3 and up. This Saturday, February 27th – kids can make their own Name Bead Necklace for $2! Just go HERE and scroll down to see a schedule of events.

Plus, if you’re already planning what your little ones will do during Spring Break, check out Michael’s Spring Break Edition of Kids Club! There will be 30 minute craft sessions Monday thru Friday from 10 am to noon for kids ages 3 & up. Parent or guardian must remain on the premises. Cost of supplies is $2 per project. Schedules vary by school district so see your local store calendar for details.

SUPER TARGET: If you live near a Super Target with a bakery, you can get a FREE Fresh Baked Cookie for your kids! The next time you go shopping, just ask one of the bakery employees for a FREE cookie for your child. You can go HERE to check for Super Target locations.

FREE & DISCOUNT ADMISSIONS COURTESY OF TARGET: Target sponsors several community events including FREE and discount admissions to arts and cultural events & institutions nationwide.
