Here are some FREE & Discount events going on this weekend. Many may seem to have consistent national participation- but it is always wise to call your local location to be sure they are participating.

BOA-bannerBANK OF AMERICA:  If you have a Bank of America Debit Card- then check out the list of qualifying museums that you have FREE admission to the first weekend of every month! You can go HERE to find out more about the Museums on Us Program and view a list of participating museums in your area.

michaels6-3MICHAEL’S KIDS CLUB:  Kids can make and take home a completed project– cost varies by project and includes supplies (usually in $2 – $7 range). Recommended for ages 3 and up. This Saturday, June 4th from 10 am – 12 noon, kids can make their own Chalk Butterfly. Cost of supplies: $2.  Just go HERE and scroll down for more details to see a schedule of events.

FREE OR CHEAP SUMMER MOVIE FESTIVALS: Take a break from the hot sun this summer and enjoy a movie with the kids for FREE or at a great discount! Just go HERE and check out my post for a roundup of what’s available this summer.

lowes6-3LOWES BUILD AND GROW: Mark your Calendars for Saturday, June 11th — And register now for Lowe’s next Build and Grow Clinic at 10 am. Kids can build their own Captain America figure! All Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinics give kids a chance to build a wooden project and receive a free apron, goggles, patch, and more! You can go HERE for more details.

DISNEY STORE: Mark your calendars for Summer Play Days at the Disney Store starting Saturday, June 4th thru September 5th. Tomorrow, there will be a Finding Dory Coral Reef Party to kick things off! In-store events include the Art of Drawing, Showtime, Story Time and Trivia. *Summer Play Days event at select locations. Contact your local Store for details. lakeshore6-3LAKESHORE LEARNING CRAFT: Saturday, June 4th from 11 am to 3 pm — Kids can make their own Crafty Bird Feeder! Join the fun every Saturday with FREE crafts for kids at all locations. POTTERY BARN: Kids can enjoy Story Time, every Tuesday from 11am – 11:30am– check out program details HERE. Members will receive a special gift after attending five sessions. Watch for special story time events as well!

SUPER TARGET: If you live near a Super Target with a bakery, you can get a FREE Fresh Baked Cookie or opt for a healthier option and choose a FREE piece of Fruit for your kids! The next time you go shopping, just ask one of the bakery employees for a FREE cookie for your child. You can go HERE to check for Super Target locations.

BARNES & NOBLE: 
Saturday, June 4th at 11 am — Barnes & Noble will be kicking off their Summer Reading Triathlon and kids in grades 1 thru 6 are invited to attend! Keep your kids reading this summer with this FREE program and they’ll earn a FREE book. Check your local Barnes & Noble store for participation and other events. Just go HERE and enter your zip code.

LIVING SOCIAL: Another good resource for great deals and discounts in your local area is Living Social. You can head over HERE to check for deals on all kinds of things including kids’ activities, entertainment, dining out, travel, etc. Just enter your zip code or city and state.

HomeDepot-Kids5-12HOME DEPOT: Saturday June 4th from 9 am – 12 pm – Kids can build their own Father’s Day Trophy Smart Phone Holder. Kids get to keep their craft, receive a certificate of achievement, a workshop apron and a commemorative pin while supplies last. You can check out the details HERE.

GROUPON: Sign up and receive a daily email from Groupon with coupon offers for savings up to 90% in a city near you. Visit the Groupon Site, choose your city and enter your e-mail. Each day they feature something cool to do in your city at an unbeatable price. To learn more about how Groupon works, go HERE, and see if there is a city close enough to you to take advantage of some of these great deals.

chuckecheeseCHUCK E. CHEESE: If you’re headed to Chuck E. Cheese this summer, check out their website first for coupons and other offers. They also have some cool rewards calendars on their website that you can download that kids can complete to earn FREE tokens! Plus, kids 2 & under eat FREE with the purchase of an adult buffet at participating locations. NATIONAL PARKS: If you’re a fourth grader, you and your family can receive an “Every Kind in a Park” pass that will give you free access to hundreds of parks, lands, and waters for an entire year! Just go HERE for more details.

Many of these events are free and on a monthly schedule. Just go HERE and scroll down to where you can choose your closest city to find FREE and reduced-price Target events near you.
