Here are some FREE & Discount events going on this weekend. Many may seem to have consistent national participation- but it is always wise to call your local location to be sure they are participating.  

michaels9-23MICHAEL’S KIDS CLUB: Kids can make and take home a completed project– cost varies by project and includes supplies (usually in $2 – $7 range). Recommended for ages 3 and up. This Saturday, September 17th from 10 am – 12 noon, kids can make their own Leaf Placemat. Cost of supplies: $2.  Just go HERE and scroll down for more details to see a schedule of events.

SUPER TARGET: If you live near a Super Target with a bakery, you can get a FREE Fresh Baked Cookie or opt for a healthier option and choose a FREE piece of Fruit for your kids! The next time you go shopping, just ask one of the bakery employees for a FREE cookie for your child. You can go HERE to check for Super Target locations.

bn9-23BARNES & NOBLE: Saturday, September 17th at 11 am – Check out your local Barnes & Noble store this weekend for kids’ story time & activities, featuring We Are Growing and The Cookie Fiasco! Plus, at 2 pm, also this Saturday, you can celebrate Batman Day with activities, trivia, and more. Just go HERE and enter your zip code for more information.

DISNEY STORE: Coming Soon! Saturday, October 1st at 10:30 am, 11:30 am & 12:30 pm and Sunday, October 2nd at 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm & 2:30 pm – the Disney Store is hosting a special Rogue One: Rebel Mission Event for kids ages 3 & up at select locations. LAKESHORE LEARNING CRAFT: Saturday, 9/17 from 11 am to 3 pm — This week, kids can make their own Falling Leaves Mobile! Join the fun every Saturday with FREE crafts for kids at all locations. For a complete calendar of events, check out their website HERE.

NATIONAL PARKS – JUNIOR RANGER PROGRAM: The National Park Service Junior Ranger program takes place in almost all parks and is appropriate for kids, ages 5 to 13, but people of all ages can participate. Junior Rangers are given a series of activities to complete during a park visit, share their answers with a park ranger, and receive an official Junior Ranger patch and certificate. Plus, in honor of their 100th birthday, you can download their Centennial Junior Ranger Activity Book for FREE! For more details, check it out HERE. And, did you know that Active Duty Military members and their families can get FREE admission to National Parks year-round? Military ID is required. For more details, you can go HERE.

toysrusTOYS ‘R’ US: Saturday, 9/24 from 12 to 2 pm – Kids ages 6 & up are invited to build and take home a FREE LEGO Disney Princess!* Parental supervision required at all times. *Limit one per customer while supplies last. Just go HERE to check store participation and for more details.

POTTERY BARN: Friday, September 23rd thru Sunday, September 25th – Kids are invited to attend Pottery Barn’s Marvel Super Hero Spectacular Coloring Station with one-of-a-kind coloring pages and activities. LIVING SOCIAL: Another good resource for great deals and discounts in your local area is Living Social. You can head over HERE to check for deals on all kinds of things including kids’ activities, dining out, entertainment, local activities, travel, etc. Just enter your zip code or city and state.

lowes9-24LOWE’S BUILD AND GROW: Saturday, 9/24 at 10 am — Kids can build their own fireboat! All Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinics give kids a chance to build a wooden project and receive a free apron, goggles, patch, and more! You can go HERE for more details.

GROUPON: Sign up and receive a daily email from Groupon with coupon offers for savings up to 90% in a city near you. Just visit the Groupon site, choose your city and then enter your e-mail. Each day they feature something cool to do in your city at an unbeatable price. To learn more about how Groupon works, go HERE, and see if there is a city close enough to you to take advantage of some of these great deals.

chuck-e-cheese1CHUCK E. CHEESE: If you’re headed to Chuck E. Cheese this summer, check out their website first for coupons and other offers. They also have some cool rewards calendars on their website that you can download that kids can complete to earn FREE tokens! Plus, kids 2 & under eat FREE with the purchase of an adult buffet at participating locations. HOME DEPOT: Register early! Saturday October 1st from 9 am – 12 pm – Kids can build their own Fire Truck! Kids get to keep their craft, receive a certificate of achievement, a workshop apron and a commemorative pin while supplies last. You can check out the details HERE.
