Here are some FREE & Discount events going on this weekend. Many may seem to have consistent national participation- but it is always wise to call your local location to be sure they are participating.  

pottery-barn10-7POTTERY BARN: Saturday, 10/8 at 3 pm – Kids are invited dress up in their favorite costume and join in the Pottery Barn’s Halloween Parade! Event will be sponsored by Annie’s and will include activities and treats. Be sure and call ahead to check participation and reserve a spot. You can get more information HERE.

GROUPON: Sign up and receive a daily email from Groupon with coupon offers for savings up to 90% in a city near you. Just visit the Groupon site, choose your city and then enter your e-mail. Each day they feature something cool to do in your city at an unbeatable price. To learn more about how Groupon works, go HERE, and see if there is a city close enough to you to take advantage of some of these great deals.


disneystore10-7DISNEY STORE: Saturday, 10/15 & 10/22 — Kids ages 3 & up are invited to attend the Disney Store’s Halloween Dress Rehearsal* and come dressed as their favorite character! There will be games, crafts, a costume parade, free give-aways and more! *Check your local store for participation – Halloween Dress Rehearsal event will be held at select locations. No lineups prior to 30 minutes before event begins. You can go HERE for more details.

SUPER TARGET: If you live near a Super Target with a bakery, you can get a FREE Fresh Baked Cookie or opt for a healthier option and choose a FREE piece of Fruit for your kids! The next time you go shopping, just ask one of the bakery employees for a FREE cookie for your child. You can go HERE to check for Super Target locations.

 Saturday, 10/8 from 12 to 2 pm – Check out Toys R’ Us’ Bricktober Event, with LEGO Play & Build events going on all month! Just go HERE for more details and to check for local participation.

CHUCK E. CHEESE: If you’re headed to Chuck E. Cheese this summer, check out their website first for coupons and other offers. They also have some cool rewards calendars on their website that you can download that kids can complete to earn FREE tokens! Plus, kids 2 & under eat FREE with the purchase of an adult buffet at participating locations. lakeshore10-7LAKESHORE LEARNING CRAFT: Saturday, 10/1 from 11 am to 3 pm — This week, kids can make their own Welcome Home Key Holder! Join the fun every Saturday with FREE crafts for kids at all locations. For a complete calendar of events, check out their website HERE.

BARNES & NOBLE: Saturday, 10/1 at 11 am – Check out your local Barnes & Noble store this weekend for kids’ story time & activities, featuring Tek: The Modern Cave Boy! Plus, some select stores will be hosting Harry Potter events so be sure and check your local store for participation. Just go HERE and enter your zip code to find one near you.

 Kids can make and take home a completed project– cost varies by project and includes supplies (usually in $2 – $7 range). Recommended for ages 3 and up. This Saturday, 10/8 from 10 am – 12 pm, kids can make their own Clothespin Bat, cost of supplies is $2. Also this Saturday, from 1 – 3 pm — Kids and their families are invited to design a pumpkin-themed T-Shirt! LIVING SOCIAL: Another good resource for great deals and discounts in your local area is Living Social. You can head over HERE to check for deals on all kinds of things including kids’ activities, dining out, entertainment, local activities, travel, etc. Just enter your zip code or city and state.

lowes10-7LOWES BUILD AND GROW: Saturday, 10/8 at 10 am – Halloween is coming up so get your pumpkins ready! Plus, this Saturday, Lowe’s will be hosting a Pumpkin Carving Demonstration so bring the kids and check it out! You can go HERE for more details.

NATIONAL PARKS – JUNIOR RANGER PROGRAM: The National Park Service Junior Ranger program takes place in almost all parks and is appropriate for kids, ages 5 to 13, but people of all ages can participate. Junior Rangers are given a series of activities to complete during a park visit, share their answers with a park ranger, and receive an official Junior Ranger patch and certificate. Plus, in honor of their 100th birthday, you can download their Centennial Junior Ranger Activity Book for FREE! For more details, check it out HERE. FREE & DISCOUNT ADMISSIONS COURTESY OF TARGET: Target sponsors several community events including FREE and discount admissions to arts and cultural events & institutions nationwide.
