Here are some FREE & Discount events going on this weekend. Many may seem to have consistent national participation- but it is always wise to call your local location to be sure they are participating.  

BOA-bannerBANK OF AMERICA:  If you have a Bank of America Debit Card- then check out the list of qualifying museums that you have FREE admission to the first weekend of every month! You can go HERE to find out more about the Museums on Us Program and view a list of participating museums in your area.

LIVING SOCIAL: Another good resource for great deals and discounts in your local area is Living Social. You can head over HERE to check for deals on all kinds of things including kids’ activities, dining out, entertainment, local activities, travel, etc. Just enter your zip code or city and state.

laeshore11-5LAKESHORE LEARNING CRAFT: Saturday, 11/5 from 11 am to 3 pm — This week, kids can make their own “Let’s Vote” Badge! Join the fun every Saturday with FREE crafts for kids at all locations. For a complete calendar of events, check out their website HERE.

GROUPON: Sign up and receive a daily email from Groupon with coupon offers for savings up to 90% in a city near you. Just visit the Groupon site, choose your city and then enter your e-mail. Each day they feature something cool to do in your city at an unbeatable price. To learn more about how Groupon works, go HERE, and see if there is a city close enough to you to take advantage of some of these great deals.

TOYS “R” US:
Saturday, 11/5 from 12-2 pm — Check out the Holiday Toy Fest at Toys “R” Us! There will be FREE Make & Take activities, giveaways, raffles, toy demos, plus a visit from Geoffrey!  Just go HERE to check store participation and for more details.

michaels11-4MICHAEL’S KIDS CLUB: Saturday, 11/5 from 10 am to 3 pm – Kids can make and take home a completed project– cost varies by project and includes supplies (usually in $2 – $7 range). Recommended for ages 3 and up. This Saturday, 11/5 from 10 am – 12 noon, kids can decorate their own Sprout Mug for Hot Cocoa or favorite drink. Cost of supplies: $2. Just go HERE and scroll down for more details and to see a schedule of events.

POTTERY BARN: Kids can enjoy Story Time, every Tuesday from 11am – 11:30am– check out program details HERE. Members will receive a special gift after attending five sessions. Watch for special story time events as well!

chuck11-5CHUCK E. CHEESE: Tuesday, 11/8 — Stop by your local Chuck E. Cheese on Election Day and get a FREE Personal Pepperoni Pizza with any pizza purchase! Go HERE for more details.

BARNES & NOBLE: Saturday, 11/5 at 11 am – Check out your local Barnes & Noble store this weekend for kids’ story time & activities, featuring Footloose! Plus, some select stores will be hosting Harry Potter events during November so be sure and check your local store for participation. Just go HERE and enter your zip code to find one near you.

home-depotHOME DEPOT: Saturday, 11/5, kids can build their own Veterans Day Toy Helicopter! Kids get to keep their craft, receive a certificate of achievement, a workshop apron and a commemorative pin while supplies last. You can check out the details HERE.

SUPER TARGET: If you live near a Super Target with a bakery, you can get a FREE Fresh Baked Cookie or opt for a healthier choice and get a FREE piece of Fruit for your kids! The next time you go shopping, just ask one of the bakery employees for a FREE cookie for your child. You can go HERE to check for Super Target locations.

national-parksNATIONAL PARKS – JUNIOR RANGER PROGRAM: The National Park Service Junior Ranger program takes place in almost all parks and is appropriate for kids, ages 5 to 13, but people of all ages can participate. Junior Rangers are given a series of activities to complete during a park visit, share their answers with a park ranger, and receive an official Junior Ranger patch and certificate. Plus, in honor of their 100th birthday, you can download their Centennial Junior Ranger Activity Book for FREE! For more details, check it out HERE. And, did you know that Active Duty Military members and their families can get FREE admission to National Parks year-round? Military ID is required. For more details, you can go HERE.

FREE & DISCOUNT ADMISSIONS COURTESY OF TARGET: Target sponsors several community events including FREE and discount admissions to arts and cultural events & institutions nationwide.
