Here are some FREE & Discount events going on this weekend. Many may seem to have consistent national participation- but it is always wise to call your local location to be sure they are participating.
BANK OF AMERICA: If you have a Bank of America Debit Card- then check out the list of qualifying museums that you have FREE admission to the first weekend of every month! You can go HERE to find out more about the Museums on Us Program and view a list of participating museums in your area.
POTTERY BARN: Kids can enjoy Story Time, every Tuesday from 11am – 11:30am– check out program details HERE. Members will receive a special gift after attending five sessions. Watch for special story time events as well!

BASS PRO SHOPS: Check out Santa’s Wonderland events at Bass Pro Shops, going on now thru December 24th, including a FREE photo with Santa, FREE crafts, foam toy arcade, building areas, and lots more! Go HERE for more details and to check your local store’s schedule of events.
GROUPON: Sign up and receive a daily email from Groupon with coupon offers for savings up to 90% in a city near you. Just visit the Groupon site, choose your city and then enter your e-mail. Each day they feature something cool to do in your city at an unbeatable price. LAKESHORE LEARNING CRAFT: Saturday, 12/3 from 11 am to 3 pm — Kids can make their own Arctic Polar Bear! Be sure and mark your calendars for next week’s craft when kids will be making this cool Top Hat Treat Holder for the holidays. Join the fun every Saturday with FREE crafts for kids at all locations. LIVING SOCIAL: Another good resource for great deals and discounts in your local area is Living Social. You can head over HERE to check for deals on all kinds of things including kids’ activities, dining out, entertainment, local activities, travel, etc. Just enter your zip code or city and state.
BARNES & NOBLE: Saturday, 12/3 at 11 am – Check out your local Barnes & Noble store this weekend for kids’ story time & activities, featuring The Grinch Who Stole Christmas! And if you’re out tonite (12/2), kids are invited to come in their PJs to enjoy a special story hour at 7 pm, featuring The Polar Express, plus coloring and other activities, including writing a Dear Santa letter! NATIONAL PARKS – JUNIOR RANGER PROGRAM: The National Park Service Junior Ranger program takes place in almost all parks and is appropriate for kids, ages 5 to 13, but people of all ages can participate. Junior Rangers are given a series of activities to complete during a park visit, share their answers with a park ranger, and receive an official Junior Ranger patch and certificate. Plus, in honor of their 100th birthday, you can download their Centennial Junior Ranger Activity Book for FREE! For more details, check it out HERE. MICHAEL’S KIDS CLUB: Saturdays from 10 am – 12 noon — There are several fun holiday crafts planned for this month’s Kids Club starting with this Saturday, 12/3, when kids can make these cute Sprout Stockings! Cost of supplies is $2. There will also be a Make It Merry Gingerbread kids and family event on 12/3, from 1 to 3 pm. You buy the Wilton gingerbread kit and then use Michael’s classroom to assemble your creation. Recommended for ages 3 and up. SUPER TARGET: If you live near a Super Target with a bakery, you can get a FREE Fresh Baked Cookie or opt for a healthier choice and get a FREE piece of Fruit for your kids!
