Here are some FREE & Discount events going on this weekend. Many may seem to have consistent national participation- but it is always wise to call your local location to be sure they are participating. 

toysrus1-28TOYS R US: Saturday, 2/4 from 12 – 2 pm — Toys R Us will be hosting a FREE Pokemon trade & collect event! Kids will receive an exclusive FREE Cosmog foil card, Pokemon TCG Sun & Moon collector’s album and enjoy a fun coloring activity! Event open to kids ages 6&up as well as adult collectors. Parental supervision required at all times for minors. Limit one per customer while supplies last. Quantities limited; no rain checks. POTTERY BARN: Kids can enjoy Story Time, every Tuesday from 11am – 11:30am– check out program details HERE. Members will receive a special gift after attending five sessions. Watch for special story time events as well!


This Saturday, 1/28, from 11 am to 3 pm, kids can make their own cute little snowman! And, coming soon, kids can make some fun goggles, and a pretty heart wreath for Valentine’s Day, so be sure and mark your calendars. GROUPON: Sign up and receive a daily email from Groupon with coupon offers for savings up to 90% in a city near you. Just visit the Groupon site, choose your city and then enter your e-mail. disneyreadsDISNEY STORE: Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 4th, when the Disney Store will be celebrating Disney Reads Day with a special story time at 10:30 am, 11:30 am and 12:30 pm! Plus, with every book purchased between February 4 and February 5, 2017, Disney will donate a new book to a child in need through First Book. *For ages 3&up. SUPER TARGET: If you live near a Super Target with a bakery, you can get a FREE Fresh Baked Cookie or opt for a healthier choice and get a FREE piece of Fruit for your kids! The next time you go shopping, just ask one of the bakery employees for a FREE cookie for your child. You can go HERE to check for Super Target locations.

 Kids can make and take home a completed project– cost varies by project and includes supplies (usually in $2 – $7 range). Recommended for ages 3 and up. This Saturday, 1/28 from 10 am – 12 pm, kids can make their own Valentine’s Game. The cost of supplies will be $2. Saturday, 2/4, kids can build their own Valentine-themed photo box, perfect for storing photos of loved ones! Kids get to keep their craft, receive a certificate of achievement, a workshop apron and a commemorative pin while supplies last. NATIONAL PARKS – JUNIOR RANGER PROGRAM: The National Park Service Junior Ranger program takes place in almost all parks and is appropriate for kids, ages 5 to 13, but people of all ages can participate. Junior Rangers are given a series of activities to complete during a park visit, share their answers with a park ranger, and receive an official Junior Ranger patch and certificate. Plus, in honor of their 100th birthday, you can download their Centennial Junior Ranger Activity Book for FREE! For more details, check it out HERE. This Saturday, 1/28 at 11 am, head over to Barnes & Noble’s weekly story time & activities featuring, I’ll Never Let You Go. Also this Saturday, Barnes & Noble will be celebrating the new LEGO Batman Movie with fun activities and giveaways. LIVING SOCIAL: Another good resource for great deals and discounts in your local area is Living Social. You can head over HERE to check for deals on all kinds of things including kids’ activities, dining out, entertainment, local activities, travel, etc. Just enter your zip code or city and state.
