As many of you know, I have quite the nail polish obsession, but I have not tried these yet. However, I have heard a bit about them that I can share. For starters – each kit contains a special chrome effect top coat, chrome effect powder & an applicator. These kits suggest using a Miracle Gel Base and top coat, which will need to be purchased separately, but it’s very likely you could use any quality base coat and top coat to achieve the effect.
I have heard that some Target stores are carrying a larger kit which contains a Sally Hansen Miracle Gel base color and top coat for around $23, which would be a better buy, but I have not seen them at my stores.
If you are unfamiliar with the whole Chrome finish look – it is typically achieved using a Gel polish which requires curing in an LED or UV light. This kit is supposed to allow you the same effect without having to use a cure-required gel polish, so I am curious to try it since I am not a huge fan of using a lamp. They come in 3 different colors – Rose Gold like shown above, and then Peacock and GunMetal as shown in the top pic.
