I actually did this deal yesterday and ended up earning a total of 2,119 points and you should find the same thing happens to you too. This is because in addition to the special 2,000 points offer, you also earn extra points on ANY qualifying brand you buy, hence the extra 119 points (10% back in points on $11.96).
