Target is price matching their competitor’s online prices thru December 16th, including Toys R Us, which has the Littlest Pet Shop Fairy Fun Roller Coaster listed at $15 right now. I believe it will stay that way until 3pm today 12/5. There is a coupon available for $5.00 off this toy HERE, making this set just $10 after coupon and price match. (-Thanks Rachel!).
So you can print your $5/1 Littlest Pet Shop Fairy Fun Rollercoaster Coupon, grab the set at your local Target and bring that and your coupon up to Guest Services. You can either show them the price on your phone, or if you don’t have internet capabilities, just ask them to look up the price for you. The regular price of this set in Target stores is $28.99 so it is almost 45% Off after price match and coupon.

This year, Target is offering customers several ways to shop and save money including in-store, online and with a mobile device. You can take advantage of their newly upgraded low price promise, shop for top toys with FREE shipping, get advance notice on Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals and more.
If you have the Target App on your smartphone, all these features become even more convenient. You can learn more about the Target App HERE and add it to your phone for FREE. You can also text “APP” to 827438 (TARGET) to receive a download link. Target is also providing FREE Wi-Fi this holiday season in all its stores.
ONLINE PRICE MATCH: There’s been a couple of temporary improvements to Target’s Price Matching policy that have some nice perks. For starters- from now thru December 16th, Target will price match its online competitors, including Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Bestbuy.com, Toysrus.com and babiesrus.com. Customers will only need to show the online price for the item using their smartphone or ask customer service to look it up. Typical rules will apply (no B1G1, no % Off etc) and you should be able to price match within 7 days of your purchase. Also remember that manufacturer coupons can be used on items you are looking to price match, but Target coupons cannot be used.
HOLIDAY PRICE MATCH: Although online prices won’t be honored past 7 days of your receipt- there is also Holiday Price Match. This special holiday policy allows anything you buy in-store at Target now to be price-adjusted all the way up until December 24th. (excludes online price matches and Black Friday ads). You may have even noticed this advertised on page 11 of this week’s (10/28) Target ad.
So for example if you buy a Wii Game for $24.99 at Target today and see it in a Walmart print Ad on December 20th for $19.99, you may go up to GS with your receipt and a copy of the Walmart ad and you will be refunded the difference of $5. Target will also honor a price adjustment on its own print ads – but no online prices so no Target.com. Again- only manufacturer coupons can be used on a price match, store coupons are out.
FREE Wi-Fi AT TARGET: One of the ways the online price matching can get easier for those of you with poor phone reception in Target is FREE Wi-Fi now available at many stores. To connect to Target’s FREE Wi-Fi service, just check your phone’s settings for Wi-Fi. Your phone may be different, but for me, Wi-Fi has to be turned ON and then I select “Ask to Join Network”. Target will then prompt with a screen asking you to “Agree to Terms” before connecting you (scroll down to see “CONNECT” button.
I have found that Target limits your connection time, so if you find yourself having trouble, just go to your Wi-Fi setting, select “Target Wi-Fi” and agree to terms again. Note: If you need assistance connecting, I would ask for help in the Electronics Department. I have found them to be pretty helpful.
FREE SHIPPING ON ALL TOP TOYS: Target is featuring 20 top toys this year that all ship FREE regardless of whether you have a REDcard or not. Aside from FREE shipping when ordering on Target.com, you can also check out these toys in the store. Just look for the signs that say “Top Toy and on each one there will be a QR code that can be scanned with the Target App on your mobile device. This way you can purchase the toy directly with the app and ship it for free to anyone, anywhere in the U.S. This is also convenient for those of you who find yourselves having to shop with your children most of the time. You will be able to shop for a gift without them even knowing you’ve done it. 🙂
BLACK FRIDAY ALERTS: You can also sign up to receive Special Text Alerts from Target for Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, plus exclusive offers and weekly ad reminders all year long. Just text the word “DEALS” to 827438 (TARGET) or go HERE and click on “Sign Up” and complete the short form. Message and Data Rates may apply.
TARGET 2012 HOLIDAY TOY BOOK: The Target Toy Book for 2012 contains some very nice coupons this year! This book showed up for many of you as a home mailerand many of you may have also gotten this book in your 11/4 Sunday Newspaper.
USUALLY we see the book put out in stores, and the ads for the weeks of 10/28 & 11/4 stated to look for these books in store. However, this year, according to a comment left on the Target Facebook Page, they will not be offeing this book in stores. But if you did not get the Target 2012 Toy Coupon Book in your 11-4 Newspaper or by mail- you can ask the cashier at checkout. Each cashier should have a scan sheet in order to apply the coupon to your purchase. This is what I have heard will happen this year since it looks like the toy books will notbe put out in stores this year. For more information on the coupons available this year- see my post HERE. There are 12 coupons inside -worth $63 in savings! There are also codes for these coupons that you can use online. For a current list of online coupon codes for Target.com- check out the Coupon Codes section on my Target Coupon Page.
Watching the news last night I was pleasantly surprised to hear some pretty cool Target news! They announced that for the first time, they will match prices with select online competitors between Nov. 1st and Dec. 16th. Customers will only need to show the online price for the item using their smartphone or ask customer service to look it up. These online retailers include Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Bestbuy.com, Toysrus.com and babiesrus.com. Sounds very cool to me! There was also an article that Gerard saw in the Washington Post if you want to check it out HERE.
To make it easier to check online deals with your smartphone, Target has started providing FREE Wi-Fi in its stores with plans to have it in all stores for the holiday season. FREE Wi-Fi also makes it convenient to use Target’s mobile app, redeem mobile coupons and scan QR codes. If you’re not familiar with QR codes, its short for “quick response code” and works like a bar code that you can scan with a camera-equipped smartphone for more information. For example, the Target mobile app can scan a QR code on a product and give you price, details, etc. Don’t you just love technology?! 🙂
For those of you doing the Tostitos Deal at Target this week (Buy 2 Chips get a free Queso), Dollar General has the Restaurant Style Chips in their ad this week for $2.50. You can bring the complete ad in (mine was in my SS insert) and have Target Price Match since the Restaurant Style Chips are included in this deal.
This way, you will get 2 Chips and Queso for $5 or use two $1/1 Tostitos Tortilla Chips coupons from the 08-01-10 SS if you got them, to get all 3 items for $3. I find price matching easiest to do at the GS desk, and be sure to bring the complete Dollar General ad with you stating the dates of the sale.
*If you are new to Target’s Price Matching Policy- called the “Low Price Promise”, you can take a look at another post I did that discusses the policy more indepth HERE.
Big Lots has Clean & Clear Facial Care in .75 – 8 oz sizes and Eight O’Clock Coffee 12 oz advertised for $3. You can take the Big Lots ad into Target and Pricce Match these items. Theee’s a couple of coupons you will be able to use that will make both of these good deals:
Clean & Clear Facial Care $3 Use $2/1 Any Clean & Clear Product Printable Coupon HERE (must register) = $1 after price match and coupon
Eight O’Clock Coffee 12 oz -$1/1 Eight O’Clock Coffee PRINT – .75/1; $1.50/2 Eight O’Clock Coffee, Any Bags – 04-25-10 SS
-$1/1; $2/2 Eight O’Clock Coffee, Any Bags – 04-25-10 SS = $2 after price match and a $1/1 coupon
*When Price Matching, you must bring the complete ad with you. I also suggest checking out at Guest Services. If you are unfamiliar with price matching at Target you may want to take a look at my post HERE to read more about it.
Racheal pointed out that the Shark Steam Pocket Mop is in the WalMart ad this week for $99. Target’s price is $119.00 and they are offering a $15 Target Gift Card when you purchase it. You can bring in the Wal-Mart ad and price match and get the same deal Racheal got. Also know that if you already purchased this item at Target this week- you may still bring in the current Wal-Mart ad and your receipt and they will refund you the difference.
Shark Steam Pocket Mop $99 (Price Match Wal-Mart Ad) – $15.00 Gift Card Back = $84 after Price Match & Gift Card.
*Note- Be sure to bring the complete Wal-Mart ad, and you may want to check out at the CS desk. Also- a Price Match does not interfere with your eligibility for a Gift Card. You are STILL entitled to a Gift Card. If you have any trouble- I suggest calling corporate from the store. If you are unfamiliar with price matching at Target- take a look at this post HERE and it may offer some insight.
There is a price match available on a current gift card deal for those of you in Florida with an Albie’s close by. The current deal (possibly regional) is: FREE $5 Gift Card wyb 3 Select Maxwell House Coffee ($6 each)
The current Albertson’s ad fron the Florida Region has Maxwell House on sale for $4.99 with a a limit of 2 at that price. It is for Original Roast Flavor Only, 34.5 oz. The Albie’s ad is valid until 4/27. So you could do the following deal if you have the coupons:
Buy 2 Maxwell House Original Roast ($4.99) = $9.98
Buy 1 Other Qualifying Flavor Maxwell House = $6.00 = $15.98 – $3.00 (use three $1/1 Maxwell House Coffee, Any 10.5 Oz. Or + 03-21-10 SS x5/31) =$12.98 -$5 Target Gift Card Back wyb 3 =$7.98 for 3 or $2.66 each
If you are new to price matching at Target- you can take a look at my post HERE.
I did not receive the K-Mart Ad in my paper this weekend- but for those of you that did and would prefer to shop at Target- they have All Tag Books advertised at $8.99. You can use the $3/1 Q on the Leapfrog site *HERE and price match. They have quite a few toys in their ad that may be lower thank Target’s prices so it can’t hurt to bring the ad along with you. *Note- According to Target Policy- you will not be able to use the $5 Off 30 Leaprog TQ on your purchase- it states that a TQ is applied before a Price Match is made.
Also- in the Big Lots ad- Biz 50 oz detergent is 2/$5 and there were Qs in this weekend’s 3-28-10 SS. (There were a variety of different Qs – it varied by region), but I think the least denomination was a $2/1 so you can score a nice deal between PM & Q. Big Lots also have Zatarain’s Rice Mixes advertised for $1 and there was a $1/2 Q in the 01-24-10 RP for some (also regional variations) to get them for .50 cents each after Q & PM.
*Having trouble finding the Leapfrog Qs?
Go HERE and sign in or create an account. Once signed in make sure you are on the Learning Path Tab and look toward the bottom right where it says Exclusive Learning Path Savings).
I just got my Albertson’s Florida Region ad that started today and it has a list of Kellogg’s Cereals that are advertised at 2/$4. I found the following inclusions on the Gift Card Deal at my store that match the advertised weights. So if you have an Albie’s in your area- bring in the ad to Target and Price Match. I am unsure if any other Albertson’s regions are taking part in this sale- so if you find it in an ad elsewhere in the country- please let me know. Keep in mind these inclusions and prices were found in my store and they may differ in your area. But there may not be signage in your store- so price check items to be sure they are prompting a Gift Card.
You can use the following Q on any listed and I have provided other matchups I found below: -$1.50/3 Kellog’s® Cereals 10 oz or larger ANY flavor MQ on Target Site PRINT
Rice Krispies 12 oz $2.50
Cocoa Krispies 16.5 oz $3.04
Raisin Bran 20 oz $2.54 -$1.50/2 Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheats, All-Bran and or Raisin Bran 11.4 oz or larger PRINT -$1/2 Kellogg’s All-Bran, Frosted Mini-Wheats and/or Raisin Bran cereals, 11.4oz or + 3-07-10 RP Corn Pops 12.5 oz $2.54 -$1/2 Kellogg’s Fruit Loops, Corn Pops and/or Apple Jack cereals, 10oz + 03-07-10 RP Apple Jacks 12.2 oz $2.99 -$1/2 Kellogg’s Fruit Loops, Corn Pops and/or Apple Jack cereals, 10oz + 03-07-10 RP Frosted Flakes 17 oz $2.50
