Target Now Price Matching Online Competitors

price-matchWoohoo! Here’s some great news for you! If you haven’t heard- Target has now made online Price Matching a permanent thing. 🙂 They are accepting price matches with Target.com, Amazon.com, Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, ToysRUs.com, and BabiesRUs.com. This also applies to previous purchases at Target within 7 days. If you find a lower online price at any of the above retailers within 7 days of your receipt, you will be refunded the difference.

Price matching may be requested at Guest Services and there is a limit of one competitor online price match per identical item, per guest. You can show them the competitor’s online price on your phone, but Online prices may be validated by a team member. Items must be in stock at time price match is requested and prices stated as clearance will not be honored. Alaska and Hawaii Target stores are excluded from online competitor price matching.

Also remember that manufacturer coupons can be used on items you are looking to price match, but Target coupons cannot be used. The complete policy can be found HERE.

  1. Maybe I missed it, but the whole “one price match per guest” thing – is that per day, per year?

  2. It is a big pain trying to talk to the “kids” working at “Guest Services”. They can’t even work their iPad to look for the item, and when I showed them on my phone, they said they needed to find the UPC number to match it…A waste of time, waited for the girl in charge for 30+ mins for her to tell me that they couldn’t.

  3. I did this a few days ago with no problem. I had the page on my phone, they had to look it up on their iPad (I guess to confirm it was up to date). Only took a few minutes. 🙂 In TX.

  4. It will be interesting to see if my Target store is aware of this… but I am kind of impressed with how clearly written the policy seems to be. Most of the time when stores change their policies I feel like I’m left with a bunch of “what if” questions, but this one just made sense to me.

  5. I have tried to price match but they always have an excuses why not too. The employees are not awear of there own policy’s and they vary from store to store

  6. A few days after Christmas I tried this.. My store told me it must’ve been a misprint on corporate bc they showed me some stupid sign saying “this is from corporate too saying it ends after Christmas” I wasn’t a happy camper
