Way back in 2012, Target added select online retailers in it’s price match guarantee. Sadly, Target has changed their price match guarantee effective today, and it now excludes competitors.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
There are a few things you need to know before requesting a price match. Now, Target will only match the price if you bought a qualifying item at Target and then find the identical item for less at Target online, in Target stores, or with Circle deals that auto apply at checkout.
Target will only price match the EXACT same item and you can request at the time you make your purchase or within 14 days.
You will need to show proof of purchase at Guest Services in store. OR if you purchased online or in the Target app, you will need to call Guest Services. Their phone number is 1-800-591-3869.
In order to price match, the price of the item must be valid at the time of the price match. If Target is unable to verify pricing, they have the right to decline your request. For Circle deal price matching, you will need to sign in, sign up or enter your mobile number at checkout to verify proof of price.
The original receipt or packing slips are required for price adjustments up to 14 days after you made your purchase.
NOTE: You can not price match between Target stores. IE you must price match at the store you made your purchase.
Target will price match in all 50 states, however, Hawaii and Alaska are excluded for price matching with items online or prices thru the Target app.
You can not combine registry completion or Target coupons with a price match. Manufacturer’s coupons are applied after a price match, and only on purchases made in-store.
