Produce coupons are pretty rare, and there is a nice new one out for .50/1 Del Monte Gold Extra Sweet Pineapple.
If your store carries this brand, Target sells whole pineapples for I believe around $3 each. Even better, if you can meet the required threshold there is a $4 off Fresh food purchase $20+ (fruits/veggies/bakery/deli – excl pre-pkgd) Target-Coupon x1/30 you could use too.
I can’t wait to use this coupon and I think I will try my luck at growing another pineapple too. I am absolutely terrible with plants, and I probably didn’t do it right, but I literally once lopped off the top of a whole pineapple I bought at the store, stuck it in a pot with some dirt, and in about 3 years I ended up with a pineapple.
It was only about 4 inches big when it ripened and we ate it- but it was the best pineapple I ever had. For those of you who have been following the blog for a while, you may remember a certain funny encounter I had while growing my pineapple too. 🙂
