Target Toy Clearance In Stores & Online – Save Up to 70%

Summer toy clearance is in full swing now, and there are big discounts up to 70% Off to be had both in stores and online at Target.com. While a large majority of the toys are at 50% in stores, there are some as much as 70% Off. Some stores have more stock than others, but if your store is sparse, there is online clearance as well.

You can check out the clearance selection online at Target.com HERE, and there are over 150 toys to choose from. Most are 30-50% Off online, but there are a few as much  as 70% Off. Choose from Our Generation accessories, Barbie, Hatchimals, games & more.

If you are shopping online, shipping is FREE on orders of $35 or more, or choose FREE store pickup where available, or use your REDcard for FREE shipping with no minimum and an additional 5% Off.

If you are shopping in stores, most will have the clearance toys gathered up in their own aisles, but keep in mind not all stores have the room to do that. So be sure and check the endcaps and regular aisles too.

While the summer toy clearance seems to be dragging on this year and you may see items with deeper discounts in the coming days, this clearance won’t last much longer. It’s out with the old, in with the new and Target is busy resetting their shelves with hundreds of new toys for the new season.

Update on the Big Target Summer Toy Clearance

toy-clearance

I know many of you are wondering about the progress of the Big Summer Toy Clearance. While we have been seeing clearance toys for weeks now anywhere from 30-70% Off, usually at the end of July we see a big drop on a large group of additional toys all at once to 70% Off. It is time for Target to reset the toy shelves for the new season, so it’s out with the old to make room for the new!

Many stores will have consolidated by now, with a large number of clearance toys in their own aisles. However, this isn’t always the case, some stores may not have the room to do this, and you’ll have to browse your endcaps & aisles.

Most stores drop their toys on Thursdays, and – tomorrow, the 27th is the last Thursday in July, so there is a chance that many of you should see more toys drop to 70. It is always possible for it to drag on for another week, but my best advice is to get there early and be ready if you have interest in this clearance in case it does happen.

Be sure and take a close look at stickers and scan the toys you are interested in too. Signs and sometimes even stickers don’t always reflect an accurate price, so it’s always wise to check for yourself up at the scanner.

Even if the big drop that we typically see doesn’t happen – be sure and look around at the toys anyway, as there are quite a few already as much as 70% off. And don’t let signs deter you – sometimes you have to do some digging to find goodies with 70% off stickers. For example, I found these super-cute Strawberry Shortcake doll sets sitting in an aisle marked 30% off, meanwhile they were marked down to $5.98 at 70% off.

So here’s hoping tomorrow yields our big drop on even more toys, but even if it does not happen until next week – the clock is ticking! This big abundance of clearance toys you see now will likely disappear by the end of the first week in August so take advantage of these big discounts while you can!

It is time for Target to reset the toy shelves for the new season, so it’s out with the old to make room for the new!

Most stores drop their toys on Thursdays, and – tomorrow, the 28th is the last Thursday in July, so it’s a good bet that many of you should see more toys drop to 70. A small percentage of stores drop toys on Wednesdays so if any of you have seen some movement today let us know!

Many stores will have consolidated by now, with a large number of clearance toys in their own aisles, but this isn’t always the case, some stores may not have the room to do this, and you’ll have to browse your endcaps & aisles.

There is no guarantee that all stores will go tomorrow- and as always – my best advice is to get there early and be ready if you have interest in this clearance. Be sure and take a close look at stickers and scan the toys you are interested in too. Signs and sometimes even stickers don’t always reflect an accurate price, so it’s always wise to check for yourself up at the scanner.

bratz

For example – Kelley’s aisles were all still only marked with 30% Off – like the Bratz toys in my top picture. But upon closer inspection there were several dolls stickered at 70%. In fact, I feel like there have been quite a few toys that hit 70% before the drop this year – and I know some of you have already had some nice finds in the last few weeks.

So here’s hoping tomorrow yields our big drop on even more toys, and don’t let the signage scare you away prematurely – check out those stickers close up and then scan to check & verify. Good luck folks and happy hunting!

Update on the Big Target Summer Toy Clearance

I know many of you are wondering about the progress of the Big Summer Toy Clearance. While we have been seeing clearance toys for weeks now anywhere from 30-70% Off, usually at the end of July we see a big drop on lots of toys all at once to 70% Off. It is time to reset the toy shelves for the new season, so it’s out with the old to make room for the new.

Most stores drop their toys on Thursdays, and – tomorrow, the 29th is the last Thursday in July so a good bet that many of you should see more toys drop to 70.

Be sure and scan the toys you are interested in too- signs and sometimes even stickers don’t always reflect an accurate price, so it’s always wise to check for yourself up at the scanner. For example – Kelley’s aisles were only marked with 30% Off – but all the Olaf plush toys were actually stickered 50 and all her Craftabella were stickered at 70, so don’t let the signage scare you away prematurely.

b1g1
One more thing to mention is that this week thru 8/1 Target is offering up a B1G1 50% Off deal on select character merchandise, including some select toys. The characters mentioned were Star Wars, Disney Frozen, Minions, Minecraft, My Little Pony and Marvel Avengers and there may even be others, so be sure to keep that in mind since this does not seem to exclude clearance toys.

Kelley found Frozen toys marked on clearance that are still ringing up B1G1 50% Off that will save you even more. This is another reason to become best friends with the scanner machine, and a quick way to tell is to scan and if they come up as “Special Purchase” on the screen. If they do, the lower priced item should ring up for an additional 50% Off.

Update on the End of July Target Toy Clearance

So I had a chance to sneak away to Target this afternoon for a bit and my main goal was to see what the devil was up with the Toy clearance. Historically the big drop has been the last week of July which we are already in, so I had some concerns when I went on Sunday and still saw all the clearanced toys sitting in the regular aisles.

But I was happy today when I FINALLY saw that they were starting to prep. As you can see from my picture- my store had emptied out a whole aisle towards the end of toys with clearance signs in place and were JUST starting the process of collecting all the clearance toys from the regular aisles to fill it up with.

Many of us will hopefully see the big markdown of a large number of toys going 70% Off this week in just a day or two, but there is no guarantee and I feel like my store is getting a late start and has way too many 30% & 15% Off signs set up in these aisles for it to happen this week. But maybe that’s all it is – a late start and it will still happen. Only time will tell.

Typically – many stores markdown toy clearance on Thursdays, however this is not set in stone- and some stores may do it on Wednesdays, some may do it on Fridays, and some stores will lag even longer in marking things down. I am certainly going to do my best to be there on Thursday (when my store usually marks toys down) to see anyway! And you can bet I won’t be believing any of the signs and will be making several trips to the scanner just in case! 🙂 Let me know what you are seeing at your stores this week and whether or not your toys have moved into one clearance area yet.
