Wilton candy eye balls are perfect for making them even cuter, or, if your store doesn’t carry them, you could use small squeeze dots of condiments such as mustard, ketchup or even mayo to create the eyes.

It’s also a fun activity that your kids can participate in if you are choosing to forego door-to-door trick-or-treating this year. Here are the simple steps to follow ….

  1. Unroll 1 can of Pillsbury crescent roll dough and separate the 8 triangles to create 4 rectangles. Pinch perforations together so that your 4 rectangles are smooth.
  2. Cut each rectangle into 10 pieces for a total of 40 strips.
  3. Wrap 4 strips around each hot dog to look like bandages, stretching the dough as needed.
  4. Bake 13-17 minutes at 375 or until light golden brown. Add eyes to complete the look.
