bacon and green beans recipe

Whether you are looking for a super easy appetizer or a scrumptious side dish, bacon wrapped green beans are an awesome idea! Bacon and green beans pair well, and this dish takes this combo to a whole new level of deliciousness.

There are not a lot of ingredients required, keeping the whole recipe simple. Panko bread crumbs had a bit of crunch, while red pepper flakes and a touch of cayenne pepper in the coating add just a touch of “kick”.

Serve up with Ranch dressing on the side (or your favorite dipping sauce) for a crowd pleasing appetizer. Or, this recipe also makes for a flavorful side dish for any meal, and would go great along side ham at Easter!

Prep time only takes minutes, and bake time is around 8-10 minutes, so you can be enjoying this awesome dish very quickly. This makes for a great option on a busy week night too. And, this amazing dish would also make for a nice buffet table option especially with several dipping sauce options on the side.

Super Easy and Totally Tasty Texas Two Step Dip Recipe

Two Step Dip

One of our all-time favorite dips around here is what we call the Texas Two Step dip. It only requires two ingredients, and two steps to make! Not only is it super easy, but it packs a lot of great flavor.

Two Step Dip Ingredients

Even better, you can easily adjust the quantity depending on how many people you need to feed! To make this two step dip, simple set out blocks of cream cheese for about 20 minutes on the counter until slightly softened.

If you don’t want to make so much, just set out one block of cream cheese and you can always make more if it disappears to quickly.

Two Step Dip Step 2

Once the cream cheese is slightly softened, add in your favorite picante sauce. While we have a favorite local brand and we like “hot”, it might be safer to start with a name brand like Pace. I would also start with a medium, as you can always add more in if the dip is too mild.

After mixing together, you can taste for flavor and heat. If I am using medium, I like the ratio of 8 oz of cream cheese to 16 oz of Picante, and for hot I like using equal amounts of salsa and cream cheese. Eat as is, or let it sit in the fridge for at least an hour to let the flavors meld and to firm back up a bit. I do have family members though that prefer it on the softer side and don’t want to wait!!

Serve it up with the chip of your choice – I like to use tortilla chips, corn chips, or even fry up corn tortillas and sprinkle them with a bit of salt. It’s also great with carrots!

And, I like serving up individual containers so everyone can swap out chips and veggies and for portion control!
