There’s a brand new savings program called Cartwheel by Target offering even more opportunities to get great deals! You can get as much as an additional 30% off, occasionally even higher, on items at Target including grocery, health & beauty, baby, clothing and much more. The best part is that you can combine Cartwheel offers with your coupons! You are allowed one Cartwheel offer with one manufacturer’s coupon and one Target coupon, triple the savings!

cartwheel2aYou can sign up thru email or your Facebook account and you will need a smartphone to redeem savings in stores although you can bring a printed barcode with you in lieu of a smartphone. Target has partnered with Facebook in hopes that you will spread the word on these deals through Facebook. Each time you select a Cartwheel offer, it appears on the Facebook newsfeed so other friends can see it. You do have the option to adjust your privacy settings if you do not wish to show this information. Just go HERE to your app settings in Facebook and next to Cartwheel, click on Edit. You also now have the option to bypass Facebook all together and sign up thru email thanks to a huge response from users.

You can access Cartwheel by using the app or by visiting on your computer, tablet, or other device. I would recommend the Cartwheel App, it’s very easy to use and its FREE! You can go HERE to download for Android devices and go HERE for the iPhone, iPad and other Apple devices. Then, log in to your account and you’re ready to start saving!

The Icon in the lower left corner is the main menu. From here, you can browse thru all the Cartwheel Offers by Categories or Collections. To select an offer, just tap on the card and it flips over showing a red “add button”. As you select offers, you will fill spots in your Cartwheel. You are automatically given 10 spots to start with and then after that, you can earn more by unlocking Cartwheel badges.

If you are logged in to Cartwheel thru Facebook and you prefer to keep it private when you add an offer to your cartwheel, there are a couple ways you can do it. When you are logged in on the Cartwheel website, go to the offer you are interested in and flip the card over. Then look for the little gift icon in the bottom left corner and click on it. The ‘add’ changes to a ‘add privately’ selection. If you are an android phone user, you will see a lock icon instead of a gift icon when you follow the same steps. For those of you who use Apple devices, this feature doesn’t seem to be available but you can go thru the website to do it.

cartwheel-badgesThese badges will begin to unlock as you select and redeem offers and share them with your friends. If at any time you wish to return to the main menu, just click on the main menu icon. You can also click on a card in your cartwheel at any time to check the expiration date. And you can remove offers if you change your mind.

When you’re ready to purchase your items and your offers are in your cartwheel, you can either print your Cartwheel barcode from your desktop at home and bring it with you to the store, or you can use the Cartwheel App on your mobile device. To print your barcode, just go to and login, then click on ‘My Cartwheel’ and select ‘Redeem in Store’ and your barcode will come up. If you’re using the Cartwheel app, then just open it to your barcode for the cashier to scan and the savings will be applied directly on all of the Cartwheel offers on your list. If you are bringing a printed barcode from home, be sure to add all your offers to your Cartwheel before you leave or you won’t get the discount.

Here are a few more points to keep in mind when using Cartwheel offers…

  • The Cartwheel discount is taken AFTER Target Coupons and BEFORE manufacturer coupons.
  • An IDENTICAL Offer can be applied a maximum of FOUR times in a single Transaction.
  • You can redeem all the Cartwheel offers on your Cartwheel list at the time of your transaction, whether its 10 or more (depending if you have unlocked additional spots).
  • You can save on your entire Cartwheel list up to 6 times per day.
  • If you would like to make sure an item qualifies for a cartwheel offer before you buy it, you can use the barcode feature in the app. Just tap on the barcode icon in the top right corner on the main screen and scan your item. If there is a matching offer, it will come up automatically and you can select “Add”.

Target is hopeful that by offering even more savings for coming in to the store, they will encourage more online shoppers to visit their local Target stores. For us, its another way to “Get More Red for Less Green” :-). You can learn more about Cartwheel thru the Help Center HERE. Plus, keep up to date with the latest Cartwheel news HERE.

Anyone else having troubles logging into Cartwheel from their desktop?

I was able to log-on this morning before I went to Target. Now this afternoon I can’t log-on at all.

    Any insights would be appreciated.

A cautionary tale: I just tried to use a Cartwheel for a Yvolution scooter. It said “Assorted Styles” and didn’t give any exclusions in the fine print. We bought one but were told the Cartwheel didn’t apply because it wasn’t the right scooter. It was a Yvolution scooter. We were told we should scan the barcode next time to see if the Cartwheel applies. I’d never heard that before. Lesson learned the hard way.
